Last week I volunteered as a facilitator for the Arizona Growing Water Smart (GWS) program. It's programs like this that give me hope. While uncertainty grows for water management on the federal level (see recent LinkedIn post from The Water Report US), we can focus on making change and collaboration happen on a local scale. GWS facilitates community decision makers in a multi-day discussion about their land/water values and policies. The result is an action plan and a clear path forward for participants to accomplish their community oriented goals. Check out the website (https://lnkd.in/gbKdMH6T) to learn more or look forward to an upcoming article about the program in The Water Report US. Thank you Sonoran Institute and Lincoln Institute of Land Policy for creating such an impactful program!
