The “contribution gap,” fueled by what LinkedIn News recently reported as a lack of enthusiasm, is costing 1.9T in productivity loss, according to Gallup. We define the contribution gap as the distance between what talent is capable of delivering and what they’re equipped, enabled, and encouraged to deliver. We’ve been helping clients close this gap by teaching their leaders to see, respect, value, and protect ALL people at work. SEE: Acknowledge and invite to contribute RESPECT: Recognize and leverage contribution VALUE: Refine and reward contribution, and provide opportunities to grow PROTECT: Create and preserve environments where it is safe to contribute fully, freely, and fairly It’s important that those who aim to meaningfully address the gap realize that the solution isn't simply to "engage" people. Engagement is fleeting. I can be engaged on Monday morning, be disrespected at lunch, and disengage by 1pm. When this happens, I'm less focused, less productive, less creative, and less committed. I stop going the extra mile, which means you miss out on my discretionary effort. In short, my contribution is heavily impacted by my daily and cumulative experiences, which influence the quality of my relationship with you and affect how I work. You can't transform a relationship on a sentiment level. Building trust, for instance, isn't about getting someone to feel more trusting. It's about doing more things that build trust and fewer things that destroy it. People want more visibility, more respect, more opportunity/appreciation, and more psychological safety at work. And you should want that FOR them, because it also benefits you. This is not complicated, but it's not necessarily easy if your leaders don't know what to do and how to do it. So teach them. Your move. www.twchg.com #leadership #inclusiveleadership #futureofleadership #employeeexperience #contributiongap #culture #thewaymakerschangegroup #betheway #wearethewaymakers

#appreciation #Empowerment My post on Friday was a poll on what stops you from appreciating your team member and honestly I was not surprised to see the results..( Shared below ????). Yes Communication Barriers and Competitive environment came as the major reasons. Being there and worked in a Corporate setup, I could so relate to this. ?For me - lack of Communication caused lot of loss in opportunities. I had great inhibitions expressing my self which even included appreciating my peers or subordinates. ?And the competition worked against me as people around me found me as a competitor ???? and hence never appreciated me. ?The only thing I am surprised is that even after 15 years the same thing exits in the corporate setup, when we have people claiming that they have open Culture in their organization. ?? So time to change this barrier and start having open discussions and feedback and appreciation sessions within the organizations to bring about change in the thought process of the ?????????????????? ???????? ???????? ???? ???? ???????? ???? ???????? ????????????????????????, ???? ???? ?????????????????? ???? ?????????????? ???????? ?????????? ?????? ?????? ???????????????????????????? ????????????. #change #organization #culture #transparency #linkedinforcreators

"Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid." Ever heard that saying? The sentiment of the quote highlights the importance of recognising and valuing individual talents and abilities, rather than evaluating everyone based on the same criteria, which may not be relevant or fair. Why then, would we try to pigeonhole high-performing, performing, and under-performing employees into the same development and growth strategy? Instead, we need to recognise that an organisation's success doesn't solely hinge on the performance of a select few but on the collective potential of every individual within our team. It's vitally important to recognise the talents and contributions of every team member, irrespective of their current performance level. #TalentDevelopment #InclusiveLeadership #StrategicEmpowerment #ThoughtLeadership #engagement #development

World Kindness Day! The Power of Kindness in the Workplace. In business, every interaction counts. A single act, word, or tone has the profound potential to shape—or shatter—a person’s experience. A harsh moment can turn a dedicated employee into someone who simply doesn’t care. But a thoughtful, encouraging approach can inspire that same individual to become a loyal, happy, and productive team member—a true asset to the business. Just as children respond to understanding rather than punishment, employees thrive in environments that recognise, reward and care for them. A culture rooted in kindness and respect doesn’t just benefit individuals; it strengthens the entire organisation. Remember, people are our greatest assets. Let’s invest in them with kindness, recognition and support to unlock their full potential and drive collective success. #Leadership #WorkCulture #KindnessInBusiness #EmployeeEngagement #Success

What a brilliant read. We know the positive impact of constructive feedback ( ? performance and engagement). We know the business benefits of a diverse team (? innovation and profitability). But we don't always know how to handle the challenge of combining both... ?? So why not grab a coffee and take 5 mins to read some great advice from the legendary Erin Meyer ?? Let me know if you enjoy the article and find it as insightful as I did! TLDR: ?? Feedback across CULTURES: use selective upgraders and downgraders. ?? Feedback across GENDERS: give the gift of power first. ?? Feedback across GENERATIONS: be explicit on team culture. #diversityandinclusion #leadership #peoplemanagement Ps. Dear Leaders, You hire us for our expertise & experience. We are excited to make meaningful contributions. We are at 100% capacity. Ready to go. But we come into work and… ? We are kept off meeting invites ? Colleagues make fun of our accents ? We keep having our work stolen ? Colleagues ask why we are so ambitious when we have children at home ? We are excluded from lunch outings And more. Our 100% capacity to contribute can drop to 75% to 50%… We can’t focus on the work. We are worried about what someone might say or do next, slowly chipping away at us. If this happens to multiple individuals, over time, this can be a huge drop in productivity. Imagine the hours lost & wasted that can’t be recovered. And the cost to replace those who walk out the door. This can negatively impact the bottom line. Not surprising that 78% of employees say that it’s important for their company to be an inclusive organization. Because acts of exclusion costs us more than we may think. How has the lack of inclusion negatively impacted your performance & career? #inclusion #leadership #culture #MitaMallick PS Check out Seramount’s latest report “DEI Backlash- What Employees Really Think” Link in comments ????

Great leaders know the power of gratitude to create an engaged, motivated workforce. One unique method of expressing gratitude to employees is by using symbols. Small, tangible reminders of appreciation, like stickers or trophies, paired with genuine words of thanks, can have a significant impact. Regular gatherings to recognize achievements further enhance this positive culture. #Recognition #Motivation #TalentManagement #Gratitude https://lnkd.in/gidfPxj9

???????????????? ???????????? ???? ????????. ???????????? ???????? ???? ?????? ?????????? ????????... ????????’?? ?????? ??????????????????. ?? Think back to the first day at a job you were excited about. The company values—integrity, inclusion, innovation, and a few others that were glued onto the plaque—mirrored your own. They weren’t just words; they were promises. But then, reality sets in. The values that once drew you in start to feel like decorations on the company website/wall. The ideals you believe in are nowhere to be found in day-to-day actions. Sound familiar? Today, more than ever, people seek organizations that stand for something real. Leaders know this, and companies pour resources into crafting powerful value statements. Yet, the gap between stated values and lived actions is often wide. Why? Because ???????????? ?????? ???????? ???? ?????????? ?????????? ???? ???????? ????????’?? ?????????????????? ???? ???????? ??????????????. So, what’s the missing piece? The answer lies in embedding these values in daily behaviors. Here’s how companies (and we, as individuals) can bring values to life: ~ Turn Values Into Actions: Instead of just listing “integrity,” encourage team members to share examples of how it shows up in their work. ~ Create Shared Practices: Pair colleagues to discuss how values like collaboration show up in their roles. ~ Embody Inclusion: Leaders can create space for every voice, making values real. This principle isn’t just for workplaces; it’s personal, too. We all have values—honesty, compassion, growth. But how often do we truly live them? How often do we ask, “How does this show up in my choices?” ?????????????? ????????: ?????????? ????????????????, ???????? ?????? ???? ????????, ?????????? ???????? ?? ?????????????????? ???? ?????????????? ?????? ?? ???????????????? ??????????, ???????? ?????????????? ???? ??????????????????????????, ?????????? ???? ???? ?????????? ????????. ?????????? ?????????????????????????? ?????? ?????????????????? ???????????????? ???????????????????? ???????? ?????????????????? ???????? ?????????? ??????????????. Values hold power only when they shape actions. The next time you see a company’s value statement—or think of your own—ask, “?????? ???????? ???????? ???????? ???? ???? ???? ?????????????? ???????? ???????” Defining values is just the start; real change lies in living them. #CompanyCulture #ValuesInAction #LeadershipMatters #PurposeDriven #LivingOurValues #IntegrityInAction
