Based on many of the comments on this post, there appears to be some misunderstandings about Elon Musk, DOD spending, and DOGE. First: Elon Musk is a U.S. Citizen who has been appointed by the President of the United States. Second: The DoD initiated its first comprehensive financial audit in 2018, has conducted seven consecutive audits through fiscal year 2024, and has not passed one yet. In other words, they can't account for all the money they receive. Third: As directed by President Trump, Musk's Department of Government Efficiency (Doge) is focused on identifying financial waste, fraud, and abuse of tax payers' money while streamlining federal operations, including those within the DoD. Fourth: Elon Musk does not have direct authority over the military’s table of organization nor specific operational details, such as how many drill instructors train each recruit platoon. Those decisions fall under the Department of Defense (DoD), the individual branches of the U.S. military, and their leadership structures. Finally: Identifying waste, fraud, and abuse, removing bureaucratic bloat, and focusing funding on making our warriors more lethal is in our Nation's best interest.

Let's see 3 do, what we can do barely with 6, churn out outstanding Devil Dogs, war fighters, the Presidents own, ssh don't tell The Donald that he has access without congressional oversight.

Congress appropriated funding for 12 Columbia-class ballistic missile submarines to replace the aging Ohio-class fleet. This initiative is a cornerstone of the U.S. Navy's strategic nuclear deterrence, ensuring a continuous at-sea presence of ballistic missile submarines. In other words, ~$130 billion of tax payers' hard earned money went toward our national defense. However, recent reports indicate not one submarine has been delivered to the Fleet and the funds are not fully accounted for. Moreover, the first Columbia-class submarine is not expected to be delivered for another 12 to 16 months later than initially planned, potentially impacting its operational availability in 2030. Hopefully DOGE will identify what's going on and where our tax payers' money went.

You may be a very upwardly mobile Marine, I'm considering, all the recruits that have to be weeded through to keep those you don't have to recycle is an extremely tough task, some had recruiters that knew better than to send them to MCRD, you need extra eyeballs and ears to get the best Marine possible. That's it sempre Fi, I MEF, G4 SMO, Camp Pendleton CA.

"We won World War II with seven four-star generals. Today we have 44. Do all of those directly contribute to warfighting success? Maybe they do, I don't know, but it's worth reviewing to make sure they do." - SecDef Pete Hegseth?
