Join us tomorrow for the first Global Action Hub on Waste Methane and Environmental Justice call! Organized by GAIA (Global Alliance for Incinerator Alternatives), the Global Action Hub is an online discussion space to track action on waste methane and environmental justice (EJ), share expertise, identify gaps, and celebrate progress. It will also be a space for facilitating connections to spark collaborative projects, and ensuring collective monitoring of the implementation. It will be a celebratory space, inspiring and conducive for participants to take actions that target key changes in policy and implementation on waste and climate. Initiated in the Methane and EJ Summit, the Global Action Hub gathered support from over 50 organizations and individuals representing national and local authorities, international institutions, think tanks, private sector, donors, NGOs and community-based organizations. The Global Action Hub is open to key stakeholders committed to environmental justice and high-ambition action on methane reduction in the waste sector. This space is particularly relevant to: ? policy makers and government officials ? non-government organizations NGOs ? think tanks groups ? philanthropists The Hub will be organized quarterly by GAIA, one call at international time. We are organizing our first call on September 12, 2024 (7 AM California / 10 AM Chile / 3 PM London / 4 PM Cape Town / 9 PM Jakarta). We have simultaneous interpretation for Spanish, Portuguese and French.
