Reality is not a movie Unlike a movie where the bullets bounce of the APC and do not even leave a scratch or the APC jumps over a log and lands like a Baja vehicle and keeps on moving to save the day, reality those scenes are make believe and the people in these vehicles are feeling every aspect of those bullets as they hit the hull and some will penetrate and bounce around inside the vehicle the most frightful thing one can experience and that amazing jump, well lets just say your spine will not be the same and that vehicle will move no further. Upwards of 11 tons of mobile metal moving towards the fight takes proper equipment, trained professional fighters, trained professional drivers and outback armour suspension that is if you want those trained professionals to complete their mission. Contact Outback Armour we have the suspension to help you complete the mission. Almost exactly 82 years ago, the first stage of Unternehmen Paukenschlag ended. Five big German U-boats had wrought havoc on allied shipping in North American waters that was still sailing independently and with lights on. For the Germans this was a second 'Happy Time' that allowed new U-boat aces to become darlings of German propaganda, for the allies it was an unmitigated disaster. And the worst was, that these hideous losses should have been preventable. The problem was that the US Navy was unwilling to institute convoys. Decried as a defensive tactic and as an inefficient use of scarce ships, it preferred to actively hunt for submarines - which quite easily managed to dodge the hunters and then stalk unescorted merchant ships with barely concealed glee. Sadly, it took time and harsh losses before Admiral King managed to admit his mistake and copy the British convoy system, which then proved its effectiveness by immediately reducing the losses to a manageable level and the sinking of U-boats. For convoys are not just a defensive measure: they allow for the concentration of force - warships and aircraft - at the point of decision - the merchant ships - and thus make defending easier while allowing for spoiling- and counterattacks. A convoy is a defensive-offensive tactic that gives close protection, allows a side to get cargo to its destination with acceptable losses and makes it possible to fight and win the attrition war. This is as true today as it was 82 years ago and is the reason why we should seriously consider sailing convoys through the Bab-el-Mandeb. Is it an inefficient use of shipping? Yes, but far less inefficient than sailing around Cape Good Hope. Defensively, it will allow us to concentrate surface escorts and - crucially - allow these escorts to use their weapons far more effectively. It is far easier to intercept a missile fired at ships under close escort than shoot at a distant crossing target and instead of an SM-6 you might get away with an ESSM - or even gunfire at relatively easy targets like UAV. Offensively, it makes it far easier to concentrate ISR resources and have strike aircraft ready for the short periods during which the convoy would be vulnerable, rather than 24/7 as ships trickle through the strait. So convoys! And fast, for this battle will be one for the long haul. The Houthi aren't as deadly as the Wolfpacks, but we still have to prevent them from getting lucky. #Houthi#OperationProsperityGuardian#RedSea

This is our latest combat vehicle The TAC-6 It can be armed with a variety of turrets, including capability for a 14.7mm AND a single or multiple anti tank missile system. The modular turret system allows for the addition of multiple 40mm grenade launchers, enabling an immediate defensive response in an ambush or offensive action where so required.( ie when attacking an enemy formation) Giving a deployed squadron a real time anti tank role with the manoeuvrability and tactical speed and nimbleness of the 8 speed auto Land Cruiser. This, combined with our sighting system make the Tac6 a force multiplier on any battlefield.

It's fantastic to see more and more agencies realizing the benefits of tools like Multi-Mission Aircraft. For almost a decade and half Intterra has been putting invaluable intel tools like MMA in the hands of first responders. From ground breaking initial attack support to true multi-mission all hazards capability, the one thing that's usually missing is a way to stitch it all together. If you're wondering about programs like this, or how to start consolidating the vast array of data sets available to your organization from CAD & RMS to Cameras, Aircraft & Satellites to evacuation management and fireground incident control then check out Intterra at www.Intterra.io or message me directly. Through our solutions and our ecosystem of partners like Genasys Inc., Tablet Command - Incident Response and Management, Esri, 3AM Innovations Inc., ATAK, Vibrant Planet and dozens of others we can help you stitch the pieces together into a true Common Operating Picture. From statewide solutions to small municipalities, fires, floods or any hazard, large events or simple landscape treatments and grant management, pre-incident planning to community risk reduction, through response and recovery Intterra and our partners have you covered. A personal plea to Transport for NSW. What about some consideration for Sydney’s motorists in a maze like road system. As it happens, this weekend involved delivering people to the Overseas Passenger Terminal at Circular Quay and a separate drop off at Sydney Airport — a nightmare in each case. The cruise terminal can only be reached via a circuitous route around road closures or road narrowing that even confuses GPS navigation. Getting to the airport just as problematic. We know that the Warringah Freeway revamp is necessary but if a major entry point is to be closed on a Sunday afternoon can we do better than a couple of cursory detour signs that deliver motorists into a wall of traffic on Military Road? Giving motorists a fair go should be the starting point and there’ll be a lot more acceptance of a major infrastructure project designed to make the road system better. Jo Haylen Josh Murray

Thanks Air Combat Command, this is a well put together education video - short and sweet - for motorcyclists, boating and firearm safety. Even though this is listed for the 101 days of summer, these rules are applicable any time. I have added some of my own tips to supplement this. All are detailed below: Fire Arms: ====== If you have a weapon inside the home - make sure you practise proper safe storage. Ensure the ammo is stored in a separate location. Gun safes vary significantly. Be sure to get expert advice if you have kids around or there is a liklihood your house will be broken into. Your gun could be used in a murder or robbery and you may end up taking the blame! The following info. is incorrect: Ammunition that is stored in the boxes sold by the manufacturer is not dangerous in a fire. If ignited by intense heat, the brass or plastic cartridge will burst. The fun video testing ammo in a house fire alerts you to the fact that ammo boxes are insufficient. Better storage is needed. https://shorturl.at/0sT5G Boating: ===== Never operate a boat or go swimming if you have been drinking alcohol Always wear a life vest even if you are an experienced swimmer. Be sure to check the weather before you go out on the boat. Have a whistle and, or flares to be able to alert someone if you find yourself in trouble. Know how to use it before you go. Make sure your life vest fits! If you are knocked out and in the water you want it to save your life. Ideally the vest will have a whistle attached to it. If not invest in one and ensure it is strongly tied on. Know how to contact the life guard or safety boat if inland. Motorcycling: ========= Wear the proper gear. Get the proper training. Keep to the speed limit/ Never drink and ride. Helmet - full face is best. Don't lend or borrow a helmet - if you do make sure it has never seen an accident or been dropped. It can then be defective. Don't put stickers degrade the outer skin of the helmet. Teach yourself and other drivers - Think Once, Think Twice, THINK BIKE Wear the gear: You can get back protectors - I hear they are excellent. Material: leather is strong (hot in summer), kevlar stronger (good for summer); waxed cotton has least amount of protection and its hot and smells. Boots with shin protector are great. I wish I'd had some which gave ankle support. Gloves made from strong material. I was hit by a London cabbie who snapped my leg with his bumper. I wore the gear and it saved my skin. The crash helmet saved my head! Two different occasions, one was sucked under a truck; the other friend died of severe injuries at the roadside. I watched another slide across the road holding him and his brother up on his hand - the glove wore out but it saved him from a much worse injury. #safety #boatsafety #motorcyclesafety #firearms
