Last month, we heard Sam Altman talk about AI. It got us thinking even more about how accounting is changing, and where the industry is headed next. ????????????????? Prediction for 2025: As the use of AI goes up, the decision-making at many firms will actually get slower. AI is delivering more data and insights than ever, but in some ways, that creates a really big problem. The more information you have, the harder it is to figure out what actually matters and what to act on. The answer? Learning how to cut through the noise. That means training your team to focus on what’s important, blending AI insights with human judgment, and making sure that the tools you use actually help clients. Lots of complexity here, but the companies that get this right are really going to thrive. They’ll be more focused, act faster, and deliver better results. Ultimately, the real value of AI isn’t in how much it gives you—it’s in how well you use it.
Getting people, especially accountants, to give up part of their workload was a real challenge for us. What's the trend you're seeing when trying to implement with new teams?
I think it’s the opposite. With the use of more AI, decision making will be simpler. AI can cut the noise and help delivering some new insights that currently is harder to obtain.
