Delhi Water Crisis Documentary: ???? | A Historical Overview | Paani | Delhi, once renowned for its abundant water resources, now relies on other states for 90% of its water needs. The city's history reveals a gradual decline in its water management, shifting from historical abundance to modern scarcity. Historically, Delhi’s water management was advanced. In the 10th century, the Tomar dynasty’s Anangpal established Delhi near Surajkund, leveraging natural features to collect rainwater. Later, rulers like Iltutmish and Alauddin Khilji improved water systems with reservoirs like Hauz-e-Sultani and Hauz Khas. In the 14th century, Muhammad bin Tughlaq built the Satpula Dam, showcasing sophisticated water management. To delve into the historical pages, I, along with the Historian Firoz Bakht Ahmed and Jagran New Media's team, embarked on a quest: The search for water. How extensive is this search? Watch the full video only on Dainik Jagran https://lnkd.in/gEHsFT7c Big thanks to Nand Kumar Nair sir and Shailesh Ranjan sir for their incredible support! Anurag Mishra sir, your research is a game-changer in our efforts to tackle water crises. And let's not forget the incredible work that Riyaz Siddiqi does behind the camera - simply mind-blowing! Also, Sukhdev Yadav's video editing was on a whole new level?
