Okay…at digitalDDS, we’ve started the process of testing the ioConnect (TruAbutment). First step was to pour up a few models with some different configurations. Hopefully I didn’t angle them too far away. Wanted to get some divergence though as I’ve seen that cause other systems to fail. So model #1 has 4 implants, each pretty parallel. Model #2 has 4 implants also, but some notable divergence. And model #3 has 5 implants with some divergence. I’m very curious to see the results as this idea of shrinking the dental arch is a genius move to solve the errors usually introduced by stitching. Note my drawings on each model (from the blue path down to the green path). You don’t scan the entirety of the scan bodies…just the little hexagons at the ends. So you barely have to move the intraoral scanner. Very little stitching needed. I’ll share a video next!!
