With #NewYork continuing to issue retail licenses at a rapid pace, there is still a long way to go with per capita comps, coming in at 6.8 retailers/1M residents. Michigan wins big in this set, with 60.9 retailers/1M residents. California's 'cannabis deserts' are a limiting factor with only 21.7 retailers/1M, as illustrated by **Florida** which is strictly medical, and still has better coverage than CA with 23.6 dispensaries/1M residents. Today was a very special day. Before I delve into SampleDirect, I want to address something you may have noticed: if you've ever received an email from me (and if I've done my job right, you probably have), it's from @clearleaf.co. Clearleaf isn't just the brains behind our service Buddi; it was always meant to create further innovations in the cannabis market. And today, we've hit a milestone with the launch of our second product into beta: SampleDirect. SampleDirect addresses several significant pain points we identified in the industry: 1. Improved dissemination of product information from brands to retailers. 2. Enhanced visibility for retailers regarding upcoming product releases. 3. Empowering retailers with a "try before you buy" option, and "try your own supply" product education tool. 4. A scalable, centralized platform for brands to seamlessly connect with retailers, providing high-quality product information and improving product education to boost sales. This beta launch signifies our commitment to bringing this platform to market, gathering feedback from customers (both brands and retailers), and developing what adds the most value for everyone involved. It won't be perfect right away, but we're 'moving fast and breaking things' to get to the right answers quickly and deliver something that brands and retailers will love.
