Where are the people today - LEADERS who could be compared to this man? Ferdinand Piech was a true leader who built the Volkswagen brand as we know it today, and rebuilt a smaller car company into a global leader in the car industry. Which in its time raised not only the German but also the entire european automotive industry. When the answer, I can't, I can't, didn't exist in the dictionary... We are currently participating in an unprecedented period, when changes that affect us all cause uncertainty and create tension in society .It is all the more important to recognize leaders and install them in leading positions and live out of this dead end expected loss. The words that this important person said 31 years ago are all the more relevant today. Let's face the problems together and start solving them without resigning and handing over the European industry to the rescue. How else can we perceive this conversation, which is still relevant today, with a high degree of tension, and the decisions cannot be made for everyone who listens to it. Soon we will commemorate the 5th anniversary of the death of this important innovator, manager, but especially leader, who left us on August 25. 2019. #vw #europe #autoindustry #mobility #changes #leaders #ferdinandpiech #automotivenews #autonews #club30 #nadaciaunitedphilantyropy https://lnkd.in/e6xvR3At

It is unfortunate to witness the challenges currently faced by Nissan Motor Corporation, which, in some ways, parallels the situation Volkswagen Group is encountering in Europe, despite the differing contexts. Both brands have long been iconic and trusted globally for their reliability and value. This serves as a crucial reminder for all companies that disruption is a tangible reality especially in a very competitive landscape. To not only survive but thrive in an ever-evolving market, continuous innovation is imperative. #business #technology #innovation #nissan #volkswagen #leadership #strategy #automotiveindustry #brands #competition

She took #GeneralMotors through a storm and changed the industry forever... Ever wondered how one leader can change the future of a century-old giant? Enter #MaryBarra, CEO of General Motors and the first woman to lead a major global automaker. But her journey to the top was far from easy. Mary began her career at GM as an intern, juggling roles from assembly plant manager to vice president of global product development. It wasn’t just about climbing the corporate ladder; it was about steering one of the largest automakers through some of its toughest times. When GM faced the infamous ignition switch crisis, a recall that could’ve sunk the company, Barra did something rare—she took full responsibility. She didn’t deflect or make excuses. Instead, she used the crisis to raise the bar on safety standards across the automotive industry. Under her leadership, GM didn’t just survive; it thrived. But that wasn’t enough for Mary. She envisioned a future where GM wouldn’t just build #cars, but lead the charge towards #sustainability. She set an ambitious goal: 30 new electric vehicles by 2025, long before electric was the mainstream buzzword it is today. Thanks to her, GM is now at the forefront of the electric vehicle revolution. And let’s not forget—she broke barriers. Mary shattered the glass ceiling, inspiring not just women in the automotive sector, but leaders across industries to embrace diversity, innovation, and change. Her story is a powerful reminder that embracing challenges, staying innovative, and leading with empathy can drive real change. What do you think? Can leaders reshape industries like this? Share your thoughts! #MaryBarra #Innovation, #Leadership, #Automotive, #Entrepreneurship, #Motivation, #Sustainability, #Inspiration, #Startups, #Technology, #Marketing, #Creativity, #Future, #PersonalDevelopment, #Business, #Productivity #ElectricVehicles

Today, I came across an inspiring and witty farewell video from BMW dedicated to Mercedes-Benz CEO Dieter Zetsche on his retirement. The video humorously captures Zetsche's transition from Mercedes-Benz to enjoying the freedom of driving a BMW i8 Roadster. This playful yet respectful tribute is a fantastic reminder of the significance of healthy competition in the business world. Rivalries like the one between BMW and Mercedes-Benz push boundaries, foster innovation, and drive both companies to achieve excellence. As professionals, we can learn a lot from this example. Healthy competition not only keeps us striving for better but also fosters mutual respect and admiration among industry peers. Here’s to celebrating our competitors, who inspire us to continually improve and evolve. Check out the video and join me in appreciating the power of friendly rivalry in propelling us all forward. https://lnkd.in/eYyfRqGG #Business #Competition #Innovation #Marketing #Leadership #MKTG5519
