We have made some great progress in understanding the deltoid muscle from CT scans and its impact on shoulder arthroplasty outcomes. Three studies were presented at #ISTA2024 to share our continuing research as well as the opportunities that exist in application of computer vision models for CT scans, including introduction of radiomics in arthroplasty! 1. Impact of 3D CT Reconstructed Deltoid Size, Shape, and Volume Measurements on Active Range of Motion Before and After Anatomic and Reverse Total Shoulder Arthroplasty. 2. Impact of CT Image Hounsfield Unit Based Measures of Deltoid Muscle Quality on a Patient's Ability to Elevate Their Arm Before and After Anatomic and Reverse Total Shoulder Arthroplasty. 3.
