This is the evaluation conclusion: "In conclusion, there is scientific evidence that TPhP causes probable serious effects to the environment due to its endocrine disrupting properties, which give rise to an equivalent level of concern to those of other substances listed in points (a) to (e) of Article 57 of the REACH Regulation.?" This substance is used by consumers, in articles, by professional workers (widespread uses), in formulation or re-packing, at industrial sites and in manufacturing. #Toxicology #SVHC #REACH #ED

?? A new substance was added in the #SVHC Candidate List! The newly added chemical, bis(α,α-dimethylbenzyl) peroxide, is toxic for reproduction and is used as a processing aid, e.g. as a flame retardant. The Candidate List of substances of very high concern now contains 241 entries for chemicals that can harm people or the environment. Companies are responsible for managing the risks of these chemicals and giving customers and consumers information on their safe use. Under #REACH, companies have some legal obligations if a SVHC is included in their product: in fact, If an article contains a Candidate List substance above a concentration of 0.1 % (weight by weight), suppliers have to give their customers and consumers information on how to use it safely.
