This week, the Town of Andover welcomed Joseph Connelly as the new Director of Andover Recreation. Connelly, a seasoned professional with nearly 30 years of experience in municipal recreation, returns to Andover after previously serving as the town's first Director of Community Services from 2016 to 2019. Prior to his appointment, Connelly served as the Executive Director of the North Suburban YMCA of Greater Boston and most recently as Arlington's Director of Recreation. He has also held leadership roles in the Town of Winchester and the Town of Reading. During his previous tenure in Andover, Connelly initiated the senior center renovation project and launched the successful Kid Care program, which has expanded to five sites.
