?? Exciting National Apprenticeship Week Survey Results ?? Thrilled to share some outcomes from our recent student survey on perceptions surrounding apprenticeships! ??? ?? Changing Tides: Students are increasingly recognising apprenticeships as viable pathways to kickstart their careers, with 85% expressing interest in exploring such opportunities. Reasons for choosing an apprenticeship over university vary, but can be summarised by this student's views: "I think I will learn more from gaining experience at something I like to do, whilst getting paid for it and gaining a good foundation in it." ?? Industry Appeal: From finance (24%) to marketing (10%), students displayed a diverse range of industry interests, highlighting the broad applicability of apprenticeship programs across various sectors. ?? Bridging the Gap: Students site "the difficulty in selling themselves" and "their lack of previous professional experience" as the biggest barriers in applying for apprenticeships. ?? Cultivating Future Talent: According to students employers should host more open/taster days for students to better understand how they can make their apprenticeship applications stand out. Apprenticeships are for people that don't perform well academically. Let's set the record straight! Apprenticeships are for everyone, regardless of academic performance. After leaving sixth form, I was uncertain about my career path. I quickly realised that university wasn't the right fit for me because I discovered that I don’t thrive in a traditional classroom setting. Sixth form taught me an important lesson about myself: I learn best through hands-on experience and practical application. Here's 5 reasons why I chose to do an apprenticeship with Rainbow Communications: ??. ??????????-???? ???????????????? ? My apprenticeship offered me the practical, hands-on experience that I couldn't get from a traditional classroom setting. ??. ???????????? ?????????? ? I wanted to start my career as soon as possible. My apprenticeship allowed me to build professional connections and gain relevant experience right away. ??. ?????????????????? ?????????? ?????????????????????? ? I wanted to develop skills that are directly applicable to my job. My apprenticeship focuses on practical training, ensuring that I am job-ready from day one. ??. ???????????????????? ???????????????? ? As I am seeing my skills grow and my contributions valued, I have become much more confident in my abilities and decisions. ??. ?????????????? ???????????? ???????????????? ?
