In August of 2022 I sat down with the team to discuss our popular weekly livestream, Your Next Dollar, and how we could evolve it post-COVID. Despite pulling in 1.5M impressions that month, the behavior of watching livestreams was beginning to slump, and the same folks were engaging week over week. We worked on several briefs, talked about moving the stream to Twitch, and discussed ways to engage the audience. The more we researched creators and what they were doing well online, the more we started to realize our opportunity wasn't a livestream at all - it was on *YouTube.* Historically, YouTube had been used for hub content (which is, of course, still part of our strategy), but we realized pretty quickly that if we wanted to capture the attention of our audience and get them to truly spend time with us, we needed to make some compelling hero content that they wanted to come back to time and time again. Fast forward to January 2023 and myself, Jackie Linayao, and Christopher Ryan came together to pitch a new show: Richer Lives. It had all of the expert advice YND had (thanks to the brilliant Brian Walsh, PhD, CFP?), while also featuring a new and highly trusted expert in the industry: Vivian Tu - AKA Your Rich BFF.?? (Forever thank you to Margaret Furth for snagging the talent of the century). Since then, Richer Lives has blossomed into a full production and has taken on a life of it's own. We've had inspiring guests like Karamo Brown and Elaine Welteroth, fan favorites like Corporate Natalie and Chrishell Stause, and many more. In one season, we completely changed the fabric of our YouTube presence, generating: ??+375% lift in returning viewers ?? +71% increase in channel subscribers ?? +240M Impressions (and GROWING!) So now we're BACK for season two and I cannot express how excited I am for the future of this show. In addition to the folks I mentioned above, there are so many hardworking people behind the success of this show and I am honored to be a part of it.
