?? Imagine a world where governance evolves as naturally as ecosystems – adapting, connecting, and thriving through voluntary cooperation. This is the promise of Coordi-nations, a framework for glocal collaboration that transcends traditional boundaries. Just as mycelial networks in forests connect and nourish entire ecosystems, Coordi-nations create webs of mutual support through shared values and participatory decision-making. They offer a fresh perspective on how we might organize ourselves in an increasingly interconnected world. Key insights from fascinating research by Jessy Kate Schingler: ? Unlike traditional nations bound by territory, Coordi-nations form through voluntary association and shared values ??? ? They embrace plurality – individuals can belong to multiple Coordi-nations simultaneously, reflecting our complex modern identities ?? ? Resources are pooled and managed collectively through "super-subsidiarity" – creating resilient networks where success flows between nodes ??? ? Growth happens fractally, like the branching patterns we see in nature, rather than through top-down scaling ?? The most resilient systems in nature are those that embrace diversity and interconnection. Perhaps it's time our social structures did the same. Coordi-nations represent a profound shift from competition to cooperation, from isolation to interdependence. ?? What if our institutions could be as adaptive as living systems? What networks of shared purpose are you already part of that might evolve into Coordi-nations? You can't design emergence with prescriptive frameworks and recipes. You might discover helpful patterns in retrospect that can be used in context- but those patterns won't scale by copying them, as this doesn't take the local context into account. I'm also not reading any stories - is this frameworks applied somewhere? This framework seems to be the result of literature and conceptual thinking so I am skeptical about the implementation - will it survive reality? I think I'd rather hear stories about systems of governance in various forms and sorts, hearing how they evolve, grow, connect, and also how they fail, disintegrate and harm, so as a reader I can find my own patterns and apply them to my own context. Might also be helpful to imagine what governance would look like from a more ecocentric worldview, and how it would be organized. This would be characteristics or principles - not recipes or frameworks. What has you excited about this Tijn? Do you share my critique or what do you make of this?

Healthy ecological systems consistently exhibit two fundamental properties: diversity and reciprocity, which together form interconnected systems that enable the emergence of new properties. Modern civilization must reduce complexity above ground (Lotka’s wheel) and increase complexity below ground ( ecological interdependence ) to ensure a future for all. Because Nothing exists independently. Everything arises through relationships, through cause and effect. In other words, the universe is not a collection of isolated objects but a web of interconnections.

When laws of man mimic universal laws of nature, human survival as a species will be ensured. Universal laws of nature are very multidimensional.

Are we even asking the right questions? Are we looking at these ideas as symptoms of largely unknown or unseen cause . ? If we understood that we all connected and that we are the unconscious co-creators of individual and collective experiences and reality . Then all we see and experience are are projections of our unconscious choices . So . .. if we understood.. that we extensions of the source creator .. and that in the physical form all reality is what we make . Whether consciously or unconsciously. Our journey here in this form is to discover our true nature which is the expression of the original creator as LOVE.. so both Creator and Co-Creator ( US ) .. can EVOL ( WE). The premass of "Awakening " is to discover and know that WE are extensions of Source Creator . .. embracing our infinite possibilities , through embracing Living and Loving for the benefit of ALL Mankind . In this dimension nothing is broken and nothing needs fixing .. as everything we Co-Created is here to realise our infinite existence .. as the creator gave birth to all life to discover itself and all life and lifeforms to realise there is only ONE . Our continued existence is to be based fixing anything it's to become CONSCIOUS of we truly are

Achievement results from collaborative sharing of resources, risks and opportunities, ensuring the shared success. The story of Coordi-nations is focused on the benefits which are primarily given for the participants. For humanity to advance, the efforts need to be aligned to a shared inclusive vision, catering for wider interests including minorities and non-participants. There is a clear role to be played by states and governments, that must not be overruled, ensurinh the fundamental human rights and interests. Coordi-nations will also compete for talent, resources and leadership, calling for a governing framework.

Though, not as simplistic! WeHumans are not as simple as mother nature. The complexity of our unfortunate tribal affiliations destroys the generic "NATURE" of the concept of "CoordI-nations" . Despite our natural relation-IST instinct; our priMative reaction to caring for and supporting our tribesmen based on Kinship is the key factor of our most often "DISCONNECT" ed NESS... Otherwise the notion is an ideal projection of the old but useful Community of Practice (CoP) phenomenon...

It's a nice model but I am still wary of these super connected networks with multiple identities because they perceive human beings rather like gaming avatars where belonging happens at the press of a button. In real localised communities belonging by definition involves a rejection of one set of values in favour of another, that is the entrance fee and the assurance of continued membership. In times of peace and stability when resources are abundant, the boundaries of belonging are wide but quickly narrow in times of crises. I think it's important to recognise this dynamic in social-ecological systems because networks are constantly changing. How do we negotiate times when you find yourself rejected or ejecting others from groups you once thought you would be part of for life?

Tijn Tjoelker, thanks a lot for sharing. Recently, Otto Scharmer and Eva Pomeroy of the Presencing Institute shared a paper “Fourth Person: The Knowing of the Field.” I coined it as #4thPersonKnowing. I understand that Jessy Kate Schingler would be interested in the work of that institute and my #HomoPragmaticist approach. That paper fits quite nicely the Anticipation (see shared image) that has been emerging through me and that required the complement of an ecosystems design.

Intriguing idea, I like the concept and thought experiment. I can't help feel like its not though factoring in when individuals belong to multiple networks with competing priorities and social systems. I hypothesise these are more nuanced and different to natural systems? There is a lot of learning in Bochin and Social Ecology, some good test cases on this.
