What are some pain points in internal event planning that Braze has dealt with in the past? ??? Physically counting how many people were in attendance vs how many people actually signed up for an event. ?? Having to create separate feedback forms, remembering each and every attendee while analyzing the data themselves. How Epoch helps: ?? With its integrated system, Epoch tracks event attendance, comparing it to the number of registered participants. This feature reduces the workload on event organizers. ?? Epoch streamlines the feedback process by automatically generating and distributing feedback forms to attendees, removing the need to create separate forms for each event. Read on to see how Epoch helped Braze with their internal events. ?? https://hubs.la/Q02KggRc0 #EmployeeExperience

The Ecctis EOT Board was invited to the eoa annual conference in Telford last week to share learning and insight into what it’s like being an Employee-Owned Trust (EOT). Employee Trustees Rachel Hollister-Short and Alice Crowe joined Chair Richard Hastings and Independent Trustee Steve Gardiner as part of a panel focusing on ‘Empowering employee owners to have a voice’, alongside EO expert and Boombox Consulting founder Helen Moreton PCC. The session helped delegates understand the importance of employee voice in an EO business, provide the tools to help them explore how well a voice can flow through in a meaningful way, and hear best practice to be able to develop and amplify employee voice. Rachel Hollister-Short, Associate Director at Ecctis and Employee Trustee, said: ‘Ecctis is a people-focused organisation, so we were delighted with the number of businesses who wanted to either find out more about becoming an EOT, or who were keen to enhance their offering, so their own staff could have more of a meaningful say in how they were run.’ We look forward to working with more employee-owned businesses in the sector in the future.

iT1 - Best place to work. I have been a reseller for almost 16 years now. I worked a little over 11 years at my last employer, and I have been at iT1 for over 4 1/2 years. A couple of weeks ago, I was on a call with one of the owners and a customer. When I introduced the owner as technically my manager, he corrected me, stating that he was not my manager—my customers were my managers. I work for them, and they dictate my job and what I need to do. It's incredible to work for a company that truly believes and acknowledges that the customers come first and are actually our managers. iT1 has no quotas, no forecasting, no busywork, no company manager, and no micromanaging of their sales team. We only hire those who have been in the business for a while and understand the customer-first mentality. I am so proud to be part of the iT1 family. If you are looking for a sales job as an IT reseller and love taking care of everything yourself—from speccing out the project, getting the quote, negotiating the discounts for your customers, and understanding that it's all about the customer—then you should take a look at iT1. When I was ready to leave my last job and was looking for a new permanent home, I asked someone in the industry I had worked with for a long time if they knew a good place for me. Knowing how I worked and how important my customers were to me, they said without missing a beat that there is only one place for me, and that is iT1. #BestPlaceToWork #CustomerFirst #ProudToBeiT1 #SalesTeam #ITJobs #iT1 #it1source #it1consulting iT1 #TEAMFRANCO Malinda Franco #ITreseller #IThardware #ITsoftware #ITmanagedservices #NOC

There are few things that brings commonality to any team…I believe values does a fantastic job in this. We don’t have to agree on everything but if we adopt the same values, we have won half the war in our attempt to service our clients! Over the past few weeks of trying to merge HER VOICE INTERNATIONAL & Atamelang Training Academy..the guiding pillar has been our values! I don’t want abstract words like honesty.. I believe values should be doing words. Action words. Verbs! What are your values and how do you ensure they find expression in your daily activities. I am so serious about this that if I know our values are misaligned, I have to remove myself from your company. They’re my guiding campass. ????
Tuesdays are for SMME's or Host Employers in our corner & we want to bring you behind the scenes this week. We have a weekly stand up as a team!! As a standing item we each choose a value to guide our week. We do not believe that values must remain on paper and by incorporating them into our daily, they guide the work we do. Most of us fail because we do not espouse our values to do business. These weekly stand-ups keep the team aligned, accountable, and focused on achieving our goals. By sharing quick updates & addressing roadblocks early, we stay productive and on track every week. What is that you and your team do that we can all learn from? Drop your comment below. If you do not have yet, we hope you and your team will adopt our approach. Keep values alive to create cohesion! Growing businesses... #Companyvalues. #Teamwork. #StandUpMeetings. #Companyhabits.

May 2022, we hosted our first ever event in the US. This “Preflight Huddle” in San Francisco brought together 80+ folks in the implementation / onboarding and CS space together for an engaging gathering. These were folks from our Preflight Community, and many folks visiting the Bay Area for the Gainsight “Pulse 2022” conference happening the next day. We held the event at a boutique location - the American Bookbinders museum. We had a wonderful all woman panel discussion, and 2 engaging sessions. We had ONE employee in the US back then (now up to 15 and growing fast!). So remember it was all very new to us. I’d never lived in the US before this either. The day ended with networking and food. It felt high energy throughout. And it felt like we were the “Pre Pulse Party”. I’d not imagined 80+ folks turning up for this event. So in my eyes we had a very successful first event ever in the US. But then I heard the feedback through a friend who was on a messaging group with some other leaders in the space. And my bubble burst. Some of the folks were upset that we did not have ice in the water. Some didn’t think the air conditioning at the venue was good enough. When I look back at it now though, of course we would get judged for everything we do. I can’t expect any different just because we were new to the US. If anything, we were probably going to be judged more as a company coming in and establishing ourselves in the market. We’d experienced bias, unfair judgement, etc. in the past, but this was fair. We didn’t know people like ice in their water. Our bad. We should have done our homework. We should have prepared much better. Lesson learned, and I believe we are doing a much better job now. Propel24, our first in person conference was a big hit earlier this year. Sure, there was feedback and there is always room for improvement. But no one could say we hadn’t prepared well or hadn’t taken good care of our guests :). But also, one thought occurred while preparing for Propel. If the loudest complaint from a 4-5hr event with 80+ folks was that we didn’t have ice for the water, I’ll take it any day :). And that’s what I shared with our guests at Propel too - that I hoped for similar (but not the same) feedback :).
