Heard this in my first meeting of the day! “Wise man learns from his mistakes, Wiser man learns from the mistakes of others, The one who has all of the answers and who knows everything, is the fool in the room. “ One of the many reasons I love mentoring the next generation of investors and entrepreneurs because if they take the opportunity to learn from the silly things I’ve done they will be better for it. One of my peers in my role before joining Allied Federal Solutions LLC always used a term from the Bible of “Seek Wise Counsel” which I’m getting better at but always have room to grow. In this new role I’m getting to learn from some brilliant corporate officers on how to build culture, build the right team, and how to serve your team. Onward and upward.

I got the grand tour today at Schwarz Partners, LP by the one and only Sue Seitz, CPA. The innovations they’ve implemented into their growing company are a testament to their dedication to their workforce. And some corporate structures are more complex than others - this one indeed has some complexities to it! ?? But their set up - from policies to benefits and everything in between - has been intentionally and thoughtfully designed to prioritize their very diverse workforce. It’s a big job. And Sue works with the precision and execution of someone who believes good enough isn’t good enough. It’s companies like this that will always be early adopters of new technologies and improvements. I knew from our previous Zoom calls that they had a great team of problem solvers, determined to making an impact. But finally meeting them IRL today in Carmel, IN really made their dedication to performance and culture shine. ?? Thanks for the coffee, Sue - next time, diet cokes in the warm sunshine!??
