The term, “Clients and Friends” is as real as it gets. Truly an inspirational week here in Houston. Yesterday, my time with Romain Kapadia on the roof top balcony of his two newest venues…was incredible. For over a decade I have worked with Joe Pachioli & Romain, as we insured the The Astorian starting back in 2013. And, over the years our relationship has developed into a friendship. With Romain courageously sharing his #cancer diagnosis in an effort to inspire and normalize the approach of confronting the challenge, while focusing whole heartedly on the silver linings. Tonight we will celebrate Romains Birthday at his “F*CK Cancer” party. Happy to say that Alexander Ottewell is my confirmed, +1! Also this week, met with Cyndi Lea & Ben Seligson of Kraken Engineering LLC where we had an awesome dinner with Mark LaCour of the Oil and Gas Global Network. Plus, had an awesome sit down with Stephanie Chavez, CTSM, Misti Jeter, LSS, and David Smith of BlackPearl Technology, Inc…where we are aligning a couple exciting projects. More to come on this! Thank you Cyndi Lea for setting up our lunch with Gus Bourgeois III of BoyarMiller this week! This lunch conversation dove us into the deep dive of Energy Risk and how important it is to have the MSA game figured out. Something cool for next week is Gus and I will be speaking together on the 5 key components that every oil and gas services company needs to pay attention to within their MSAs. It’s going to be great information for everyone. Big thanks (again) to the Industrial IMMERSIVE and CARBON CAPTURE UTILIZATION AND STORAGE LABORATORY (CCUS-IITM) for hosting two incredible events.
