Something interesting is cooking up in France, that you should know about. Since 2019, a new model of business, Entreprise à Mission (Mission Driven Business) has been unfurling, at a rapid clip, the numbers of businesses doubling since I first began tracking it in 2022. And now they're looking to unroll it, Europe wide. Essentially, it bakes sustainability into the core of the business, a focus on service to and benefit for society primary. And I recently learned from Nicole Sherwin at EcoVadis that an ambitious congress dedicated to this burgeoning sector is happening today. With 40+ sessions and conferences, 70+ speakers, clearly there's a lot of energy around this! Practically based, inspirationally oriented, this will surely activate many, and optimise those already involved in this sector. Are any of my network attending? Given we move to France this August and it's a mode of business I quite resonate with, I look forward to being in the room for future editions... I've seen some businesses do both this and B Corp certification. I'd be curious, what do you see as the differences, and the value of doing both? I'll be joining a panel at the Innovation Zero Energy Forum on Wednesday morning to talk about investments in energy infrastructure.
