This Veterans Day, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the brave men and women who have served our country. We are proud to be located in Veterans Square in Fairmont, West Virginia, where a bronze statue honors the courageous soldiers from WWI, WWII, Korea, and Vietnam. The three marble monuments serve as a poignant reminder of the sacrifices made by our Marion County veterans, especially those who gave their lives in action. By the end of the Normandy landings, approximately 10,000 soldiers had been killed, wounded, or were missing, including 6,603 Americans, 2,700 British, and 946 Canadians.
