My latest Zoom session on Aug. 28th engaging a panel of six CEOs/VPs from three different industry niches - fitness, spa/wellness, and boutique specialties (HIIT, cycling, yoga, etc.) - was well-received and informative. Three executives were from the USA, two from Asia/APAC, and one from the Middle East. This latest session was entitled - "Global Expansion: Do’s and Don’ts”. Fantastic conversations and challenges were expressed on who, what, when, where, why, and how to bravely and competently 'spot their expansion strategy' into foreign regions and continents. Not surprisingly, ALL six executives openly admitted that poor planning and mistakes were made in not capitalizing on the presence and experience of local or regional independent (contracted) franchise consultants to guide them through a coordinated, comprehensive, and objective diagnosis of their systems, vision, and investment expectations. All businesses stumbled in reaching a steady baseline of structure, revenue, and critical operational momentum, and half of these franchisors abandoned their int'l expansion projects altogether due to inadequate funding, poor oversight (from 000's of miles away), and poor reporting or timely communications. Learning new things that can fine tune my work as a #HighPerformer and a coach is my superpower - it was my new realisation at A-fest at Sixth Sense Ibiza Last month I attended - A conference organised by Mindvalley. An annual conference where global speakers, coaches, entrepreneurs meet to reset their mindset and intentions and have some fun. I will make a reel about a few key takeaways soon but till then these photos are too good not to be shared. ?? 1. In my sincere student Avatar with my notebook. 2. Every small aesthetic detail design by?Mindvalley?and?Sixsenses (the venue)?was stunning 3. Some hands on body work needed all of us to get on the floor 4. I loved being amongst so many willing, inspiring participants. That was the best part of me to be honest. I met such committed coaches, writers and #entrepreneurs. 5. It was a huge event. A bit underwhelming as an overall experience but many penny drop moments 6.?Regan Hillyer?sessions were my favourite for sure. It was wholesome with her music and mediations 7. The sunsets in #Ibiza are stunning. The view was breathtaking every single day. 8. Things strong, ambitious, high performing couples must keep in mind. This session was an eye opener as 3 different couples from different parts of the world discussed their ways of holding space for each other. 9.?Regan Hilllyer?heart heart ?? 10. I discovered Satori & his music. There couldn’t have been a better finale show than this.
