They're growing their battery energy storage function out through a Technical Project Manager to work alongside 3 other engineers in this team, as well as the team leader. The role:You'll be a crucial part to the team, responsible for the technical input on all projects across the UK and Ireland that are in the pre-construction phase. They have recently construction, energised and commissioned their pipeline, so are focusing on early stage development stages for their pipeline. Your main responsibilities will include:- Identifying, assessing and developing project feasibility for projects up to 20MW. - Working closely with a variety of stakeholders, including both internal technical and development teams as well as external bodies and agencies.- Designing battery energy storage systems at a utility scale.- Creating feasibility studies and assessing project viability from a technical standpoint mainly for battery energy storage projects, that are both co-located and stand alone.- Managing grid connection application processes, working closely with DNOs and the TSO. For this role, a background in utility scale onshore renewable technology is necessary, however experience with battery energy storage is not. The company:The group really values collaboration and teamwork, with the whole team working closely to ensure projects come to fruition. This role is pivotal in the growth of the group as you'll be working at the heart of their operations.They have seen strong growth over the last decade, building out a really strong pipeline of energy and battery storage, wind and solar projects across Ireland and the UK. They have a global presence with a large majority of this being concentrated across Europe. They have been present in the market for over 25 years, allowing them to develop their market presence and knowledge to become true experts in this space. Their mission is simple; to support the energy transition until it is entirely reliant on renewable energies.
