?? Happy Friday everyone! Net Zero Teesside, the ￡4billion project led by bp and Equinor has today received the green light from Government. A monumental day for the region with much to celebrate. ?? The project will establish the world’s first industrial-scale carbon capture, utilisation, and storage (CCUS) facility at Teesworks, further enhancing Teesside’s reputation as a global leader in green energy, driving energy transition and net zero. It is a regional project of national importance. NOF has been working closely with bp on early supplier engagement, so we expect to see activity in this area ramp up with work expected to begin by the end of the year. Just wow... One thing is for sure, Teesside is no longer seen as an old industrial heartland in decline, we are now leading the way and at the forefront of clean energy in the UK. Overall, the UK government today announced up to ￡21.7bn of support for projects in both Teesside and Merseyside, which includes the Hynet project. The North of England is on a roll Judging from the presentations at yesterdays NOF net zero supply chain conference and exhibition in Teesside which saw many local clients presenting on net zero projects, I would say, its onwards and upwards for the UK CCS industry and Teesside is at the centre of it As I said Happy Friday everyone ?? #keepconnectedwithnof

The TPI Centre's ASCOR tool is increasing its coverage! So much hard work goes into these assessments behind the scenes by the amazing ASCOR team. "The ASCOR tool will expand to cover 70 countries in 2024...The expansion adds 45 further countries based on their weights in the main sovereign bond indices...The expanded universe covers more than 85% of global greenhouse gas emissions and 90% of global GDP (in current international US$, adjusted for purchasing power parity)." Generator intergration done to ensure uninterrupted power supply. Efficiency of equipment is the focus point on any renewable energy system.
