You probably don't need a rebrand.
However, a brand refresh might be right up your alley.
Last week, I was on a new business call with a client looking to refresh their visuals, update their language, and excite their team with a new vibe. There wasn't a desire to change fundamental elements of the business, like the vision, strategy, or mission.
This is where the magic of a refresh comes in. Primarily used for established brands and businesses, a brand refresh allows you to update the experience of your brand, built on your insights and what's working. It's a remodel versus a teardown.
???Brand Refresh: Consider this a strategic polish. It enhances what works well—tweaking visuals, voice, and messaging to better mirror the brand's evolved ambitions and realities. It's not about sweeping change but refining and updating to stay aligned with new trends and customer expectations.
????Rebranding: This is for those at a pivotal transformation point. A rebrand dives deep, revamping your brand's foundations—its name, logo, and core messaging—to realign with significant shifts in business strategy or market positioning. It's about profound change, ensuring your brand connects with people and stands out in hearts, minds, and marketplaces.
Here are some real-life examples:
Airbnb’s 2014 Rebrand: More than a logo change, it was a strategic shift to communicate a sense of belonging, enhancing its global appeal.

Pepsi’s 2024 Refresh: A visual update to echo modern tastes, making the brand more relevant and appealing to today’s diverse audiences.

Whether it’s a refresh or a rebrand, each serves a distinct purpose in your brand’s evolution. If these considerations spark a thought or if you feel your brand isn’t connecting as powerfully as it could, it might be time to rethink your approach.
