This week, we’ll share the incredible journey of two remarkable brothers both with Severe Dyslexia. Today, these brothers are thriving in The NOW! Foundations for Speech, Language, Reading, and Spelling? program and both improved their reading skills by over 5 grade levels. Before beginning online, evidence-based Dyslexia tutoring with the NOW! Programs company, both boys faced significant learning challenges, despite years of speech, ABA, and occupational therapy services. The older brother completed a neuropsychological evaluation prior to NOW! Programs, while the younger brother completed one after starting the NOW! Program. Before starting their online sessions, both boys read below the 1st grade level - they struggled & read K and 1st grade books, around 80-90% accurate and did not know all of their sounds and letters. Fast forward to today, and now their mom reports that her boys’ transformation is astonishing. Both boys are enrolled in a private school environment, reading well above their grade levels. Their mom describes their progress as "incredible," highlighting their ability to process how to read, decode, and spell words accurately—moving far beyond mere memorization. 1 个月Have you heard of Severely Dyslexic brothers empowering their Dyslexia so much that they exit SEND, end all accommodations / supports, enter a private prep school & mak all A grades (high marks) and become top spellers in both of their classes? Please take the time to listen to this mum’s story of boys with so severe speech, language, sensory, motor and attention difficulties that they began receiving SLP, OT, ABA or other therapies continuously from 18 months, and yet they were still impaired in many ways, ie, one boy was a non-reader (did not even know all his letters and sounds) and the other brother was grades behind and only could grade 1 books with over 95% accuracy.
