Begin by identifying one area of your life you wish to improve, whether it's health, career, or relationships. Start small by identifying one action you can take today. It might be reading for 15 minutes, taking a walk, or reaching out to someone important. These small steps build momentum. Track your progress and adjust as needed. Celebrate small victories along the way to maintain motivation. Remember, change is gradual, and persistence is key. By focusing on consistent, achievable actions, you’ll find yourself closer to your vision. In a year, you’ll look back and see how far you’ve come. God's word encourages us to seek Improvement. His word in Philippians 3:13-14 (NIV) says "Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus." Repeat after me: "I will stay with Jesus, no matter what!"? ? When the going gets tough, remember who is in control. It is often in our weakest moments that we find our greatest strength. As a pastor or church leader, the journey of faith and leadership is riddled with challenges, but I want to encourage you to keep persevering.? ? Starting this journey does not ensure a smooth path, but it does guarantee divine guidance. There will be times when your hands feel heavy, and your knees grow weak, but remember that the same God who helped start this journey will help finish it. He will strengthen you and equip you with the fortitude to keep going forward.? ? Your commitment to stay with Jesus, no matter the circumstances, is a testament to your faith and determination. When you made the decision to lead and serve in God's kingdom, you stepped onto the battlefield between light and darkness. There will be times when darkness attempts to dim the light within you, but take heart in knowing that darkness will TRY, but it will not SUCCEED.? ? The challenges and trials you face are not indicative of being outside of God's plan; they are part of the journey. These moments reveal the weaknesses in your armor, allowing you to grow in faith and resilience. God uses every attack to strengthen you and show Himself powerful in your life.? ? While the battles may be fierce, you never fight alone. The Lord fights alongside you, and the outcome of the battle is in His hands. So walk with peace, knowing that your trust in Him will see you through.? ? Stay steadfast, encourage your congregation to hold fast, and keep the faith burning bright. While prayer is essential, it's equally important to invest time in thinking and planning. A strategic approach enables us to effectively navigate the complexities of our calling and maximize our impact. By taking a step back to reflect, plan, and set goals, we can clarify our vision, identify obstacles, and develop effective strategies. This balanced approach allows us to steward our resources, time, and talents more efficiently. Let us embrace a holistic approach that combines prayer with planning, ensuring we are wise and intentional in pursuing God's purpose for our lives. Learning contentment begins with gratitude to God for where we are in life. In a world that constantly encourages striving for more, it’s easy to overlook the blessings we already have. The Apostle Paul understood this deeply, teaching that contentment comes from trusting God in all circumstances. Whether we are in abundance or in need, thanking God shifts our focus to His goodness and provision, as Paul wrote in Philippians 4:11-13. Gratitude leads to contentment by helping us see that God has already provided what we need. Thanking God also aligns us with His will, reminding us that He is working in every situation. King David frequently praised God, recognizing His faithfulness even during trials (Psalm 103:1-2). As we cultivate gratitude, we trust in God’s timing and His plans for our lives. While gratitude doesn’t mean we stop striving for growth, it does help us find peace in the journey, knowing God is with us. THE GREATEST LEGACY IN HISTORY ?? Whether you are a follower of Jesus Christ or not, I think we can agree that He created arguably the greatest legacy in the history of mankind. This long weekend that we are currently enjoying is evidence of His impact. I'm a firm believer that each individual's life is unique and we all have unique journeys and definitions of success. However, I do believe that SUCESS LEAVES CLUES ??. These clues are often in the form of universal principles that can be applied in our individual lives. Here are 5 principles of building a LEGACY that we can extract from the life and legacy of Jesus Christ [this list is not exhaustive]. 1. Jesus knew that His life wasn't just about Him. "For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many." [Mark 10:45 NKJV] 2. He didn't allow Himself to be distracted by the obstacles to achieving His vision. Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. [Hebrews 12:2 NKJV]. 3. He embraced discomfort as a necessary part of the journey to success. “Now My soul is troubled, and what shall I say? ‘Father, save Me from this hour’? But for this purpose I came to this hour. [John 12:27 NKJV] 4. He had a passion to empower those around Him to match and exceed His accomplishments. Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. [John 14:12] 5. He was willing to impart His wisdom to others. No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you.
