?? words are so powerful ?? ?? What our mind hears it holds on to. Just by saying words out loud, your brain holds onto the word, how it was said and the feeling around it. Your words are more important than you know! To yourself, your family, colleagues, staff, the barista making your coffee, the ticketing agent at the airport AND your clients! ?? Our bodies can FEEL words. And our brain will associate words and feelings. ?? Be kind and give grace to yourself and those around you. The age old statement of “Everyone is going through something” holds so true. Especially in todays day and age. A simple hello with a smile could change someone’s day. Even if it feels weird, smile at yourself in the mirror. Speak to yourself with kindness. Use words of empowerment and growth when interacting with yourself and others. ? I spoke my children’s affirmations to them every night from the day they were born until they could speak them on their own. I remind them every night to say them. And on the extra hard days we say them in the mirror together. ?? Words are one of the most powerful tools in the world. Use them wisely.

The Power of Language: What Are You Planting in Your Mind? Every word we speak to ourselves is like planting a seed in the garden of our minds. Some seeds grow into confidence, resilience, and positivity, while others cultivate doubt, fear, and negativity. Jay Shetty recently reminded me of the importance of being mindful of the language we use, not just with others but with ourselves. The words we choose shape our mindset, influence our decisions, and ultimately define how we perceive our own potential. Think about it: - Are you speaking to yourself with encouragement or criticism? - Are you planting seeds of growth or holding yourself back with limiting beliefs? We need to stop being our own harshest critics and start becoming our strongest supporters. By consciously replacing negativity with words of kindness, we create a mental environment where we can thrive. So here’s a challenge for all of us: Next time you catch yourself thinking, “I’m not good enough,” try reframing it to, “I’m learning and growing every day.” Instead of, “This is impossible,” say, “I’ll find a way to make this happen.”* Your words are powerful. Use them wisely to build yourself up, not break yourself down. Let’s all commit to being more intentional with our self-talk, because when we nurture our inner dialogue with positivity, we set ourselves up for success. #Mindset #SelfTalk #PersonalGrowth #Positivity

And, all it has taken is just a week for me to lessen this bitterness, given all the buzz around the new kid on the block. Well, not really, but it took DeepSeek to give hope to a wider set of people, and also hint at the fact that we can do much better when there is a human factor to guide. Even if in a very pale manner. On the other hand, it's also very obvious that most of the rag-tag of solutions are so superficial, that only a very handful of folks with deep technical (and math) knowledge in the world will lead their organizations, communities, and countries into a different orbit that will be hard to catch up with if we do not start now. At least, now? Those "challenge accepted" knee-jerk responses just don't count. Our CEOs have to really demonstrate that the E (executive) is not just a decorative part of their titles.

Maybe I've been too disconnected, but discovered this today - a 5 year old article - https://lnkd.in/dRgRH6Xz It resonates. But I guess, with the benefit of hindsight. And a corner in my mind is still bitter at the thought that encoding human expertise is highly limited in what it can achieve in front of large amount of compute and data. Not everyone has loads of compute and huge amounts of decent quality data. Still holding on to my biases, but with lesser attraction.
