The longer the Western Europe nations delay in getting the weapons and aid to Ukraine, the more breaches of international law will occur. Everyone knows what needs to be done - Putin and Russia need to be destroyed on the battelfield to the point that they will not try this again. The capabiltiy exists, the weapons exist, the technology exists. The only thing missing; Western European backbone. We have been here before in 1913 and in 1938 - When will the Western political leaders wake up and realise dictators with military power will not listen to reason. Only meeting them on the battlefield with force, strategy and willpower will force them back. Just ask Napoleon, The Kaiser, Hitler or Stalin. Only force defeats force, and the West has spent too long talking and parading NATO around the edges, showing off their technology, but refusing to protect Ukraine with it - however, they did protect Israel, who is neither NATO nor European, but is a friend of America. It is time for the European leaders to get their priorities straight.

At a societal level, we overvalue consistency in other people. A person who is not consistent in just about any way is generally seen as unreliable or possibly nuts. The ability to change one's heart and mind, however, when confronted with new evidence and upon proper reflection, is always better than maintaining a rigid consistency for the sake of pride and reputation. Of course, in the case of Speaker Johnson, it remains to be seen whether that change came too late for the overall Ukrainean picture or whether history will regard the change he apparently underwent as a redemptive moment (it was certainly too late for the people of Avdiivka who would find it difficult to be philosophical). I think history will regard him as redeemed. Certainly his position here is sound. No restrictions. War and national survival are governed solely by the principle of necessity and persons on the ground are in the best position to judge what is necessary. Where survival is uncertain no secondary or tertiary values could conceivably be relevant to a rational person.

This is manifested through publications on social networks, Ukrainian symbols, the performance and listening of Ukrainian songs, and the slogan "Glory to Ukraine".
