Our Commitment to Empowering Women in Health: A Message from Lyfex Africa At Lyfex Africa, we recognize the pivotal role that women play in nurturing the health and wellness of their families. We know that as caregivers, women are often at the forefront of making vital nutrition and health decisions—decisions that shape the well-being of loved ones from infancy through adulthood and into old age. Yet, we also understand that these responsibilities come with significant challenges: lack of access to accurate information, limited resources, and often, the weight of caring for multiple family members at different stages of health. With these realities in mind, we are deepening our commitment to becoming a trusted ally for African women navigating these complexities. We’re not just here to offer information—we’re here to support and empower women every step of the way Understanding the Needs of Women as Health Advocates Our journey has brought us into close connection with women who face diverse health needs within their families. We meet mothers who are focused on nurturing their growing children, some battling malnutrition, others aiming to manage or prevent non-communicable diseases (NCDs) like diabetes and hypertension that affect their spouses, parents, or even themselves. These challenges are not isolated—they are interconnected, and we believe that a holistic, family-centered approach to nutrition is essential to address them. Our Solution: Accessible, Personalized, and Empowering Nutrition Support In response to these challenges, Lyfex Africa is enhancing our resources and services to provide women with practical tools and knowledge to make informed, sustainable health choices. We believe in making nutrition support accessible, culturally relevant, and deeply personalized. This commitment spans several key areas: Comprehensive, Family-Focused Nutrition Guidance Empowering Women with Knowledge and Practical Skills Tackling Key Health Issues through Specialized Support Creating a Community of Support Together, Building a Healthier Future At Lyfex Africa, our work is guided by a passion for seeing African families thrive, and we believe women are the key to achieving this vision. We’re excited about the journey ahead and invite you to be part of it. It was an insightful experience at Africa Health ExCon participating in a panel discussion on "Evidence-informed Priority Setting: Informing Healthcare Decision Making" alongside experts and colleagues from the Egyptian authorities, the WHO, and Africa CDC. I discussed the importance of generating #realworldevidence from the local context to identify the priority areas, providing practical real-world examples from #57357 Hospital. Our research highlighted the cost-effective treatment interventions for #childhoodcancer, offering #evidence-based recommendations to enhance #survival outcomes and #resource allocation in the identified priority areas; providing cost-effective interventions for children with relapsed acute leukemia. Current efforts are directed toward identifying #costeffective solutions to promote value-based practice for these patients. #evidencebased #healthcare #ebm #ebhc #healtheconomics #heor #evidencebasedpractice #valuebasedhealthcare #decisionmaking

I am thrilled that Kenya, under the leadership of Cabinet Secretary for Health, Susan Wafula, will be the pioneering country to officially launch the transformative Cervical and Breast Cancer Coalition of the #WEF Global Alliance for Women’s Health. Breast and cervix together are the two leading causes of cancer-related deaths in Kenya. They also account for 45% of women’s cancers in Low-income countries, and nearly 80% of deaths from these two cancers happen in Low and Middle Income Countries (LMICs). ? These are not just percentages – these are mothers, daughters, sisters, wives and friends whose lives are cut short by diseases that we have the tools to prevent, detect and treat. ? This Coalition, championed by Siemens Healthineers, is a platform designed to facilitate and encourage collaborations and to bring about meaningful solutions between key stakeholders who are uniquely positioned to accelerate action. ? By working together in a multi-stakeholder approach, we can help women, and therefore everybody on this planet, rise!
