Did you know that despite NDIS funding, there remains a gap in covering the full costs of providing specialist care for children who are deaf? To bridge this gap and ensure every child can learn to listen and speak, we rely on generous donations. ?? With more children being diagnosed with hearing loss every year, the need for support is greater than ever. Our 24-hour Giving Day on Wednesday, 28 August 2024, is a critical opportunity to make a difference. Thanks to the generosity of our partners, all donations made on Giving Day will be doubled, up to $105,000. This means your contribution will go twice as far in helping children like 1-year-old Louie, who is improving his listening and speech skills with tools like the Learn to Listen sounds. In the lead-up to Giving Day, we'll be sharing insights from our clinicians on some of these sounds. We encourage parents and guardians to try them out—it's a fun and effective way to support your child's spoken language development. Let’s kick off this campaign with the ‘Roar’ sound, just like a lion! ?? Stay tuned for more updates on the Learn to Listen sounds as we count down to Giving Day. For those eager to roar into action early, you can donate here: https://lnkd.in/gZHQwuNe All donations in the lead up to Giving Day will also be matched. #GivingDay2024 #TSCGivingDay #TheShepherdCentre #HearingLoss #AmplifyPossibility

Hope for 100: A Movement for Foster Youth The need for our programs has grown so much that we’ve had to make the hard decision to temporarily close our waitlist. Right now, just over 100 children right here in our community are waiting up to 18 months to access the support they need. Together, we can change that. We’re on a mission to find 100 monthly Angel Alliance donors to move these children off the waitlist and into our programs—one by one. Here’s how you can help: ??Donate a minimum of $25/month to move a child off the waitlist. ??Receive an exclusive Angel Alliance t-shirt to show your support. ??Get monthly updates to see the impact you’re making. Every new donor moves one child off the waitlist. Join Hope for 100 today: https://lnkd.in/gvTrTasn

The importance of early intervention for children with Down syndrome cannot be stressed enough. It is through early intervention that a child with Down syndrome is able to get the best chance at achieving his or her potential later in life. New parents of children with Down syndrome often get confused between the meaning of Early Intervention and therapy. Early intervention refers to a comprehensive program of physical therapy, exercise and activity designed for a child’s specific needs, typically from birth to 3 years of age. The sooner early intervention begins, the better, however, it’s never too late to start. #downsyndrome #downsyndromeawareness #inclusion #friendsofkdsp #fundraisingforacause #inclusion #love #philanthropy #nonprofitorganization #givingisanactoflove #makeadifference #donation #earlychildhoodintervention #KASHTI

Huge news: We're dedicating every single donation received during June to creating free LGBTQIA+ education for schools (teachers and students) around the country. Our goal: To deliver 70 free LGBTQIA+ inclusion workshops to schools, impacting 5,000 students and teachers. We think we can get there, with your donations, fundraisers, support and help. It's more vital than ever to create schools and classrooms that are supportive and LGBTQIA+ inclusive. And that means equipping both students and teachers with the knowledge to stand out against discrimination and bigotry. Whether you're donating in honour of Pride Month or the end of the financial year – your tax-deductible donation will have REAL, tangible impact for the year ahead. Help us reach our goal – every donation counts, and every donation over $2 is tax-deductible. Donate now: minus18.org.au/donate

Help Families Get Answers ?? Early diagnosis is critical to good outcomes in autism and intellectual/developmental disability (I/DD) treatment. But barriers like race, a one-size-fits-all approach to care, socioeconomic status and simply where one lives can stand in the way of access to evaluation and treatment. Consider supporting the work of Catalight today. #catalight #autism #idd #earlydiagnosis #philanthropy
The wait is too long. In some areas of the United States, families can face up to a two-year wait for an autism evaluation. The Catalight Foundation is working toward change. We're educating new clinicians, reducing evaluation costs, providing support services for families, and innovating efficient care. Join us in our goal to ensure every child is evaluated within 10 days. Your year-end donation will make a real difference: https://lnkd.in/eVhgMNCF #autism #waittimes #endofyeargiving
