At our July 11th press conference, we announced the upcoming construction of a new Boys & Girls Club/CIS Alumni Facility. This state-of-the-art center will provide essential services to under-resourced children in our community, helping them achieve their full potential. This has been a passion project for our namesake Shaquille O'Neal and Perry Rogers, SONF Treasurer. Through a joint partnership, the clubhouse will provide youth in grades PK-12 with the academic, social emotional, recreational, and tech resources needed for youth development. The CIS Alumni Center believed to be the first in the nation, will serve young adults ages 18-24 to prepare for college and/or career readiness. The site will also include space for other community partners to have outreach offices to provide needed resources to students and their families. A heartfelt thank you to our incredible partners the Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Nevada: Andy Bischel and Communities In Schools of Nevada Tami Hance-Lehr, Debbie Palacios. We also extend our deepest gratitude to our funders and private donors whose generous contributions have been vital in making this project a reality: Office of the Governor - State of Nevada Joseph Lombardo; Congressman Steven Horsford; Clark County Commissioner Tick Segerblom; Clark County School District Board of Trustees; @LVMPD Sheriff Kevin McMahill; The Event donors. Together, we are making a lasting impact on the lives of many children and their families. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting journey! #ShaqFoundation #CommunityImpact #YouthEmpowerment #EducationForAll #ThankYou PRESS CONFERENCE LINK https://lnkd.in/ggw2-wAT
