BREAKING NEWS: The Supreme Court just ruled that it is NO longer against the law for a sales professional to contact a client/prospect for a non-sales related reason ?? Wait…what?!?!?!? ———————————————— Is this really true??? Yes!!! I’m just as stunned as you are…?? No one ever thought this day would come I can’t believe that salespeople are finally free to build relationships in a human way It doesn’t feel real… ———————————————— What does this mean going forward? ? It means that, effective immediately, a salesperson can reach out to anyone about anything…just because… ? It means that elevator pitches, feigned enthusiasm and fake smiles are a thing of the past ? It means, no more restraining orders, fines or jail time for salespeople that go off script! Those days are over! ———————————————— This ruling is unprecidented and will likely take some getting used to For example, as of today a salesperson can actually pick up the phone and say something totally reckless like, ‘Hey, what’s going on with you?’ NO WAY!!! YES WAY!!! It’s okay…you’re good ?? ———————————————— Here are a few addtional examples of the kinds of things a salesperson can speak out loud today that would have resulted in legal trouble for them just 24 hours ago… ? ‘We’ve lost touch. How have you been?’ (Scary) ? ‘I’m bored.
