'#Integration or #Inclusion? When we integrate, we force individuals to fit into systems we’ve already built. True inclusion means something more profound—it means not deciding for them, but asking them how they want to shape the system with us'. Eric Carlson – Disability Specialist from the International Labour Organization met with the South Asia Leadership in Entrepreneurship (SALE) project team and partners, as SALE (implemented by the Ceylon Chamber in collaboration with ILO) moves into its 2nd phase. Over the next two years SALE will build on the foundations laid during Phase 1, facilitating and supporting youth entrepreneurship, ensuring that every voice counts - inclusion in action. #youngentrepreneur #entrepreneurship #SriLanka

Just 22.3% of Australia's founders are women. We need to encourage more entrepreneurs (and intrepreneurs) - particularly for intersectional women! How do we support more women to 'make jobs' not just 'do jobs'? How do we start profiling more women who are taking this pathway? "When you see it, you can be it" as the saying goes. Let's see more examples of Melanie Perkins (Canva), Lina Chan (Perla), Diana Williams (Fernwood), Catriona Wallace (Flamingo AI), Jo Horgan (MECCA), Barb de Corti (ENJO), Naomi Milgrom (Sussan group), Leslie Gillespie (Bakers Delight) to name but a few...not just the Elon Musks, Mark Zuckerbergs and the Atlassian guys! How do we support more female owned businesses too (note to all those Procurement teams out there to think about supporting small female owners and sole traders and not just the 'big' end of town suppliers!). A great clip from Saamra Mekuria-Grillo about starting something meaningful, as early as possible!

Harnessing Passion and Experience to Launch Successful Services As we approach the exciting launch of Jewish Business Women, I find myself reflecting on the very essence of what drives me: empowering entrepreneurs to start from a position of strength. With over 25 years of entrepreneurial experience, my journey from opening my first kosher grocery store at 17 to leading multiple successful ventures has been both challenging and rewarding. Each experience has deepened my understanding of what it takes to launch and sustain a successful service in today’s competitive market. Launching a new service isn't just about bringing a new product to market; it’s about setting a foundation strong enough to support sustainable growth and impact. At Jewish Business Women, we are not just launching a community; we are launching a movement. A movement that is built on the pillars of knowledge, resilience, and unwavering support. Key Considerations for Launching a New Service Market Research: Understand not just your market, but the underlying currents that drive it. This involves identifying customer needs that are unmet by current offerings and foreseeing market trends. Documentation: Ensure that every aspect of the launch is backed by robust planning and precise documentation. This is where my background in law comes into play, emphasising the importance of solid contracts and clear paperwork to safeguard your venture. Community and Network Building: A service isn’t operated in a vacuum. Build a network that supports and amplifies your service. For us at Jewish Business Women, this means creating a space where connections are not just made, but nurtured to result in mutual growth. Feedback Mechanisms: Incorporate feedback mechanisms right from the start. This allows you to iterate and adapt quickly, ensuring your service continues to meet your customers’ evolving needs. Focus on Value, Not Just Profit: In every service that you launch, focus on the value it brings to your customers. This approach not only builds customer loyalty but also drives word-of-mouth marketing which can be more powerful than traditional advertising. With Jewish Business Women, my goal is to embody these principles and offer a platform where aspiring entrepreneurs can learn from both successes and setbacks. Our community emphasises operations, compliance, documentation, and mental health and wellness, recognising the multifaceted challenges today’s women entrepreneurs face. As we gear up for our virtual launch, I invite you to join us and experience first-hand how Jewish Business Women merges empowerment with practical entrepreneurship. Let's embark on this journey together, turning dreams into successful realities and shaping a future where every Jewish woman entrepreneur thrives. Don’t miss out on an evening of learning, networking, and growth on May 21st at 8 PM GMT. Secure your spot today at https://lnkd.in/evaVBcxd and be part of something extraordinary. #Launch

Women entrepreneurs often find themselves battling gender inequality in financing, real estate negotiations, and many other aspects of building a successful small business. Rather than see these small business challenges as insurmountable, many consider them to be opportunities for growth and a chance to disprove both naysayers and discouraging platitudes like "it's lonely at the top." If you're one of the growing number of women run their own business and need help with financial planning, reach out and schedule a meeting. #financialplannng #wealthmanagement #womenbusinessowners #womeninbusiness
