Info & register here: https://lnkd.in/djHGZnNU This webinar is about their latest CEP “Nonprofit Voice” research on the state of nonprofit sector. The study focuses on staff burnout, org finances, and funder practices. The webinar will also discuss new CEP research on how funders perceive nonprofit burnout, and what the funders say they’re doing about it. To get my take and Fund the People’s response to this research, here are three resources we’ve produced in cooperation with CEP: 1. To Ensure Nonprofit Well-Being, Invest in Wages, Workload, and Working Conditions: A new guest post on the CEP Blog about the 2024 findings. https://lnkd.in/eguhhFhX. 2. Funders, Listen Up: It’s Time to Invest in Nonprofit Workers: Guest post on CEP blog about findings from last year’s study. In it, I compare the 2023 findings to findings from 2018 and 2013. https://lnkd.in/eeXfHky6. Here’s a brief podcast episode based on the 2023 blog post: https://lnkd.in/ed46h9B5 3. How Funders can Support Nonprofit Workers in the Age of Burnout: FTP held a session at the CEP conference in fall 2023 featuring Jamie Allison, Jennifer Roller, and Desiree Flores — three foundation CEOs who are investing in grantee staff in various ways. Following the session, these leaders shared their work in a series of conversations on our podcast. You can get links to a playlist of the series, links to each episode, and more here. https://lnkd.in/eay3xKA7 BONUS: Elisha Smith Arrillaga, Ph.D. , Vice President of Research at CEP, will be our guest on the FTP Podcast this fall discussing all this research! Did you know that Black communities receive only 1% of all community foundation funding, leaving them underfunded by $2 billion, according to the National Committee for Responsive Philanthropy? We want to help raise awareness to the campaigns that are helping to bridge the gap in funding for Black-led nonprofits. We’ve compiled 5 helpful resources to boost your fundraising: Giving Gap, Givebutter, #Give828, YOUNG BLACK & GIVING BACK INSTITUTE, and BackBlack, all working to close funding gaps across the sector. Join us in raising awareness by tagging a Black-led organization and reposting this to help amplify these valuable resources. ???? #BlackPhilanthropyMonth #SupportBlackNonprofits #CommunityImpact #Philanthropy

First day of the Association of Fundraising Professionals’ ICON conference is in the books. It’s always inspiring to go to these events and see the great work others are doing on important causes. It reminds me that even though working in nonprofits is tough, it is worth it. Highlights of the day include: how to engage volunteers more; why nonprofits need to care about public policy and using philanthropy for actual good.
