Required personal finance courses must be part of the solution to student engagement gaps nationwide. I've seen firsthand soaring engagement and AHA! moments in personal finance courses - especially among high school students who are completely checked out in other classes. Students also take lessons home re: budgeting, credit, and investing, creating a multigenerational community impact. Personal finance graduation requirements are not a blanket solution for declining student engagement in high schools, but a little real-life relevance goes a long way. Must-read story and underlying research from Kevin Mahnken, The 74 Media, and The Brookings Institution https://lnkd.in/g92hBPqX

Imagine a world where every girl completes primary AND secondary school. While many girls attend primary school, research shows that the opportunity to attend secondary school can make a significant difference in their future. Each additional year of schooling has the potential to increase a girl’s future earnings by 10-20%. By educating girls, we’re helping pave the way to financial independence and opportunity! #circleofsisterhood #cofs #educategirls #educatewomen?

As we approach the end of pandemic-era funding, recent studies highlighted in The Wall Street Journal reveal critical insights into its impact on our schools. Nearly $200 billion in federal aid mitigated learning losses, particularly in America's poorest schools. However, with this funding set to conclude, sustaining academic recovery programs becomes increasingly challenging. At Facilitron, we recognize the urgency of finding sustainable financial solutions for our schools. With over a decade of experience in helping school districts optimize their facility management, our platform facilitates monetizing facilities through rentals, providing an essential revenue stream that can help bridge the gap left by decreasing federal funds. The pandemic has underscored the importance of resilience and adaptability. As schools face budget adjustments, Facilitron is here to support them by turning their facilities into assets that generate income, helping to maintain crucial programs and staff additions that have proven pivotal during recovery periods. We are committed to helping schools not just survive but thrive in this new educational landscape by enhancing their operational efficiency and financial stability. For more details on how we can assist your district, visit us at Facilitron. Together, we can ensure that our schools are equipped to continue delivering excellent educational experiences to all students. #EducationRecovery #SchoolFunding #Facilitron #SustainableEducation
