It was an honour to meet with the Ambassador of Japan to Australia, H.E. Kazuhiro SUZUKI at the Japanese Embassy in Canberra yesterday. The Group of Eight Policy Director Dr Sally Nimon, Go8 Defence & Security Committee co-Chair, Lieutenant General (Rtd) Rick Burr AO DSC MV, The University of Western Australia’s Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research) Professor Anna Novak and Monash University Interim Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research) Professor Mike Ryan, discussed with the Ambassador the upcoming Go8 Senior Executive Delegation to Japan in March, which will aim to deepen research collaboration and institutional engagement between Australian universities and Japan and foster links with key stakeholders from government, industry and research sectors.
