Sometimes, I think we could host a trivia night in the middle of an empty field - and we probably have! The places we've set up our quiz nights are as diverse as our questions. Sure, we've done restaurants and offices (yawn, too mainstream for this post). But how about these for unique venues: Golf club? Done. Poolside? Done. Fashion store? Done. Schools and universities? Done. Farm? Done. Ship? Done. Winery? Library? Art gallery? Beach? Old lighthouse? Fire station? Ski resort? In a museum after hours? In a hot air balloon? (The trivia master and participants alike were on cloud nine!) Done, done, done! The photo you see is from one of our very first corporate events, set up in a parking lot. We had nothing but electricity to work with. We brought everything else - tables, chairs, lighting, catering - ourselves. And, of course, our classic game setup: screens, projectors, speakers, and DJ equipment. It shows that you can turn any space into a trivia paradise with the right team and creativity. Stepped away from running the venue yesterday and headed to London to give a presentation about how insanely awesome the team and venue is at BOOM BATTLE BAR Along with the other General Managers, Asha Singleton, Isabell Schwenn and Ellis Noonan we all shared ideas and discussed what it takes and who it takes to be a ‘Boom Maker’ ??Confidence in your uniqueness No two people are the same, embrace the multicoloured hair, the tattoos - the only uniform we ask is a Boom top and a smile ????♂?Organised chaos In a venue full of guests and staff with music pumping and drinks flowing it’s hard to see who’s where and doing what, but taking that step back and seeing the whole venue, you’ll start to see the friendships forming between staff and guests, the first name basis being established, the laughs shared over jokes and ultimately the easy and natural upsell of a single to a double or a round shots. ?? Above all when it comes to our guests experience and immersing them in the atmosphere we create well, all rules go in the beer pong cup or out the window. Having the freedom to take someone’s good night out and to make it an EPIC one they won’t forget but more importantly will want to come back time and time again to try and replicate is exactly how we deliver unreasonable hospitality #boombattlebar #boom #unreasonable #hospitality

Love this! I believe more and more experiential thought goes into IP events, but its still shocking how little integration there is, mostly the Exhibition world (like Car Shows), Fairs (like Art Fairs) or the Event world (like sports events) still dont understand that the goal must be to build and engage a comnlmunity and that m2 sales or ticket sales will follow if its done right.
