Let us remember that expecting individual people to have all the answers plays into capitalistic ideas of singular exceptionality, toxic individualism, & unrealistic standards of perfection. It does not take into consideration that a lot of the work of building new communities is collective, behind the scenes, and often not recognized. It does not take into consideration that any single one of us is flawed, limited in our abilities, and still learning, but together can paint fuller pictures. The multi-layered visions for creating more just worlds will have to come from all of us that are willing to participate. It will take trying, stumbling, and trying again. Above all, it will take community building, collective organizing around issues, and a nuanced understanding of where we are at & where we need to go, built through relationship & dialogue with each other. ? It will take: Collaboration over competition Community over toxic individualism Horizontal power-sharing over hierarchies Connection over stale networking People over products Lifting up invisible work over what is popular - Words from Chiara Francesca. Happy Wednesday! ?

The one thing we can’t live without is relationships. As humans, we are created to be social and the relationships around us fundamentally shape who we are. Despite all this though, people don’t appreciate the value of relationships in business enough anymore. - Jumping on a flight to meet a client. - Taking someone out to lunch. - Getting to really know the person you’re working with. These are basics that are often considered old fashioned these days. But let me tell you, these are things that will take you far. As a society, we don’t put the same emphasis on community that we used to. And in business, we’ve forgotten how important it is to just talk to people: to take the time to truly work on a relationship with a fellow human being. There’s all this complicated stuff that can get in our way but on a base level, we just want to build relationships with people. A good conversation will never be old fashioned.

Do we need a “STRATEGY” to foster meaningful connections within a community??? In my experience of nearly two years in community building, I've come to realize that it's not just about following a predefined plan, but rather about the individual contributions and interactions that make a community thrive. It's about recognizing that at the heart of any community are people seeking connection, validation, and a sense of belonging?? While having a strategy can certainly be helpful in guiding our efforts, I've found that the most significant impact often comes from authentic, human-to-human connections. It's about going beyond deliverables and brand objectives and focusing on making a real difference in the lives of those we interact with.? So, while I continue to learn and grow in my community-building journey, my focus remains on making a meaningful impact on everyone I encounter. After all, isn't that what true community is all about??? #communitybuilding #community

Connections are the lifeblood of thriving communities. If you're a community manager and you aren't spending a significant amount of your time helping members connect with each other. You're ngmi. Too often I've spoken to people who want to start communities by dumping people in a group together but avoid spend time nurturing connects and understanding member needs. Members want to feel nurtured, they need attention, they want YOUR attention. They want to feel valued, they want to feel like they have value, they want to contribute value to others. You are the facilitator. The matchmaker. The broker. The power of a connected community lies in its ability to leverage its own diverse resourceful through every member. Prioritizing strong relationships creates a virtuous cycle of participation and shared success. Investing in the social fabric of your community is the best way to extract value for every member....even yourself. yo ho ho ho ho gg.

Why copying successful communities might be your biggest mistake. The heart of a community isn't its structure or activities. It's the people. Each community is unique because its members are unique. Here's why mimicking others or even worse 'stealing' another community's audience often backfires: 1. Wrong audience: ? You'll likely attract people who don't align with your true purpose. 2. Lack of time: ? People committed to one community rarely have time for a copycat. 3. Missing authenticity: ? Your copied community lacks the genuine passion that drives engagement. 4. Lack of unique value: ? By not defining a unique mission you're going to fail to address members' needs. All of this will led to an ineffective community building! Instead, focus on: - Defining your unique mission and vision. - Identifying your ideal members. - Creating value that speaks directly to their needs. Remember: The most successful communities aren't built by imitation. They're grown through genuine connection and shared purpose. What unique value can your community offer that no one else can?

Top 3 reasons why building a strong community is essential: 1. Common Goals and Shared Purpose. - Good communities share a common purpose. Whether it's addressing a global issue or achieving a lighter goal (like exercising for better health), strong communities thrive when members work together toward a shared objective. - Values play a crucial role. When community members align with common values, it fosters a sense of belonging and purpose. These values need to be articulated, understood, and reinforced to create a cohesive community. 2. Emotional Support and Relationships - Strong communities provide emotional support. Members can lean on each other during challenging times, celebrate victories, and share experiences. - Meaningful relationships form faster within communities. Being part of a community offers immediate social connections that can deepen over time, leading to lasting friendships and personal growth. 3. Resource Sharing and Collaboration - Communities offer access to resources and networks. Whether it's professional advice, job opportunities, or knowledge sharing, community members can tap into a wealth of expertise. - Collaboration within a community allows for greater impact. When people come together, they can achieve more collectively than they could individually. We aim to impact 100 people within 90 days. This is our mission. We love to watch people flourish within their businesses and get what they richly deserve. PS:- What would you like to see on offer inside a community?
