Rudolph Libbe Group would like to congratulate Lake Local Schools on the opening of its new elementary school in Millbury, Ohio. The district held a ribbon-cutting and community open house last week in advance of the school’s official opening today. The first thing students will likely notice is the air conditioning, a feature the old school lacked. But there’s plenty of other features in the state-of-the art school such as 20 more classrooms than the old school, a flexible area called the “Cafenasium” which can be used as a cafeteria, gymnasium and host performances and community events. The school also features sinks in all first-floor PreK-1st grade classrooms, lockers on the second floor for the fourth and fifth grade students, developmentally appropriate playgrounds, a library, dedicated music and band rooms and more. We were proud to partner with the Lake Board of Education, The Collaborative architecture firm and all of our trade partners on this project.
