At Clorox, we believe that investing in STEM education today builds a stronger, more diverse workforce tomorrow. Through our foundation, we’re empowering young innovators — especially girls and historically excluded Black and Latino youth — to explore the world of science, technology, engineering and math. We're proud to partner with nonprofits like Community Resources for Science, which brings hands-on science learning to over 16,000 students in underserved communities. Together, we’re shaping the future, one STEM experience at a time. #NationalStemDay Photo courtesy of Quest Science.

Happy National STEM Awareness Day! Today, we celebrate Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math, the critical fields driving innovation, shaping our future, and empowering diverse voices in every industry. STEM is about so much more than just formulas and technology—it’s about creativity, problem-solving, and building a better world. For me, National STEM Awareness Day is also a reminder of the importance of Digital Inclusion and equal access to STEM opportunities for all communities, especially for Native American youth and underserved populations. When we invest in STEM, we unlock potential, create pathways to high-quality jobs, and empower the next generation to tackle some of our world's biggest challenges. Let’s take this day to inspire someone, spark curiosity in our youth, and challenge ourselves to learn something new. Remember, STEM fields aren't just for scientists or engineers. Whether you're a teacher, artist, caregiver, or leader, you can make an impact in STEM—and encourage others to do the same. To all the brilliant minds working in STEM today, thank you for your dedication and resilience. And to everyone else—let’s support, mentor, and celebrate the innovators among us, coast to coast!

Did you know the National Science Foundation has found that women make up only 21% of engineering majors, 19% of computer science majors and 3% of STEM industry CEO’s? What’s more, minority women make up only 1.6% of engineering majors, 3% of computer science majors and 14.1% of STEM bachelor's degrees. That is why STEM for Her works to address these inequities by serving and empowering girls and young women in the DC Metro Area, particularly those representing historically underserved populations. We work hard to ensure that at least 65% of the students attending STEM for Her Day come from a Title 1, low-income school. Sponsor one of these students' attendance now to this transformational day of exciting programming, intimate discussion, competitions, networking, and more. Edifying Teachers?is pleased to join the?Beyond100K?national network. Extending the successful '100Kin10' work led by?Talia Milgrom-Elcott, Beyond100K unites leading organizations to co-develop and implement solutions that will?end the STEM teacher shortage by 2043, especially for those most excluded from STEM opportunities. Beyond100K recently engaged 600 young people, who shared their STEM stories. "They told us that when they felt excluded from STEM, they put aside their STEM dreams. When they belonged, their natural curiosity for STEM could take hold, and they pursued and persisted in STEM through college and beyond. Teachers create classrooms of belonging." Girls in STEM represents breaking barriers and rewriting the narrative for young women. It’s about claiming our space in fields traditionally dominated by men, and showing the world that innovation knows no gender. It means being fearless in the face of challenges, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible, and inspiring the next generation of girls to pursue their passions in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. I expect the upcoming Girls in STEM training to be an empowering experience that not only enhances my technical skills but also connects me with like-minded peers and mentors. I’m looking forward to learning cutting-edge concepts, gaining hands-on experience, and discovering new opportunities in STEM that I can apply in my future career. I believe this training will be a pivotal step in my journey to becoming a leader and innovator in the STEM field.
