A campaign I had spent weeks crafting—narrating a founder’s struggle, resilience, and eventual triumph—was recreated by AI in seconds. The grammar? Perfect. The structure? Spot on. But the essence? Completely missing. It was a hollow draft that lacked the human depth and emotion that connects with people. This moment made me realize something crucial: AI is a brilliant tool, but #publicrelations needs a heartbeat—and that’s something only humans can provide. In my recent article for ADGULLY I dive into the strengths of AI in PR and, more importantly, its limitations. AI can automate, analyze, and assist, but it doesn’t understand the human experience. It can’t create narratives that resonate deeply or navigate sensitive emotions during a crisis. PR is about connection, empathy, and authenticity.
