I've been reflecting on the popular notion of "founder mode" versus "manager mode." It seems to imply that founders are the visionaries and managers are just there to execute. But this binary view misses the real potential of effective management. If we want our managers to be more than just order-takers, let’s empower them to make decisions, drive innovation, and lead with vision. After all, great managers are often the ones who bring the founder's vision to life with their unique perspective and expertise. Break the mold. Allow managers to take initiative, think creatively, and contribute to the strategic direction of the company. True leadership is about fostering an environment where everyone, regardless of their title, has the opportunity to shine and drive the organization forward. The bottom line?
