The webinar explored why young people engage in sexting, the associated risks, and the emotional, social, and legal consequences. Experts, including law enforcement and legal professionals, discussed the role of parents in guiding children and the importance of law enforcement in combatting online sexual abuse. The event highlighted critical issues that every parent and guardian should be aware of to protect children online. In the UK, this Channel 4 broadcast aired last week and takes a look at child sexual exploitation and abuse online. ??The growth in reports, victims getting younger, grooming, 'self-generated' images and AI are all issues we flagged in our #2023GlobalThreatAssessment report, and which Alliance members like Childlight - Global Child Safety Institute , Internet Watch Foundation (IWF) and Child Rescue Coalition, Inc. remain relentless in tackling. ??
