When we focus solely on ourselves, we encounter problems because our brain is constantly searching for what’s wrong; we are hardwired for survival. It doesn’t understand concepts like being in an office, trading on the stock market, or what a CEO or CFO is—it only understands survival. However, when we care for others—our team, family, or community—our brain shifts its focus toward improving collective survival conditions. In this act of unconditionally loving others, we are also caring for and protecting ourselves. Many leaders in companies and high-performance sports teams believe they need to raise their voices, create discomfort, be tough, or exert pressure to achieve results. But in reality, the opposite is true. The problem is that sometimes, because the team is good or the idea is solid, positive results are achieved despite mistreatment, leading to the mistaken belief that this approach is effective. Similar to how it was once considered acceptable to physically punish students, some disciplines still use harsh methods thinking they strengthen people. I have witnessed this with first-year surgical residents. The more we seek unconditional love for others, the more we find it for ourselves. Fear is present in all of us, whether we acknowledge it or not. The question is, to what extent does it govern us? My work and distinctive ability lie in identifying—like an X-ray—where your fear is rooted. It’s not about exposing or making yourself vulnerable, but about providing relief and helping you grow in areas of your life where you haven’t yet. It’s not about hiding those fears through excessive success, but about finding balance. My goal is to help you free yourself from constant anger and achieve genuine growth. Many people are unaware of how they are being influenced by others, even if those people are no longer present. Not to mention current figures of massive influence.
