There’s plenty of food in America; yet 1 in 7 people (including 1 in 5 kids) still don’t have the food they need to thrive so we’re doing something a little different this year.?To commemorate our third annual National Traffic Door Day, which celebrates traffic doors and the businesses that use them to keep customers and employees safe, we want to make a positive impact in the communities where we operate and reside. As part of our commitment to giving back, we are delighted to announce our support for Feeding America during the month of September, in observance of #HungerActionMonth. For every action taken, including posting a selfie with a traffic door, following the Chase & Eliason LinkedIn pages, liking our social media posts, and sharing our content, we will donate $10 to Feeding America. Furthermore, on September 28, we will double our contributions for each action performed. We believe that by coming together and taking these simple actions, we can make a meaningful difference in the fight against hunger. I'm always heartened when companies and groups ask how they can help Feed More this time of year. For teams looking for a way to engage here are a few ideas... Food Drive Competition - By team, by floor, by department. Because of the ever-evolving supply chain, shelf-stable items are in high demand. Our donation door is open for extended hours during the holidays! (feedmore.org) Year-End Budget Surplus - Many companies have a use-it-or-lose-it approach. Have a little extra budget at year-end? Invest in the community through a special gift or purchase to help provide food to our community. Consider sponsoring one of our key programs. Mid-winter volunteering - We LOVE volunteers! Volunteers make up 2/3rds of the Feed More team. Consider signing up and locking in for January and February shifts now.

Time for a Friday lookback! Two takeaways from my week are: giving feels good & go where the good vibes people are... 1. Giving feels good: I helped Sara Nye find somewhere to donate old stuffed animals which led me to Glad Dogs Nation (& Marianne Ahern). They make old stuffies into safe pet toys. After announcing it to the famed "mom chat," we donated future pet toys from multiple households. It felt so good to do something small when it's so easy to feel powerless in the bigness and suffering going on around the world. Check them out - https://lnkd.in/efUX-mck 2. Go where the good vibes people are: Coffee with the job searching moms and group coaching with Carrie Spaulding, PCC gave me energy x100M. Both groups were celebrating wins and it made my heart grow to see people supporting one another. What were some highlights or takeaways from your week??

Yea it’s a five minute video, who watches those anymore! However, if you followed us over the course of Serve Week 2024 (The Ocho) this is an awesome wrap up and great work by the team. We try and use LinkedIn to open a window into our culture. And while Foundry Commercial isn’t perfect and we will always have work to do in pursuit of our standards, I think this is one of the things we get really right. We are a services company and spending time with these amazing organizations, which we encourage you to check out and support, reminds us what true service looks like. It is a week where we try to give back and we always end up getting so much more than we give. There are a lot of people who inspire me, and it would be fun to highlight them all. As I’ve made no secret, Taylor Swift is up there on my list. While there are many reasons she is an inspiration for me, including her drive, authenticity, and business acumen, one of the things that stands out the most is how she uses her platform for greater good. A great example is how she has approached her worldwide Eras Tour, which will continue through the fall. Taylor has genuinely connected with local areas throughout the tour—and not just in the way she puts on a show. She has donated to food banks in the cities she’s performed, inspiring a flurry of donations from her fans.? ? Not only has her leadership helped food banks expand their reach, but it’s raised awareness about increasing food insecurity around the globe. In fact, during her stretch in the UK, Taylor was praised for doing more than the government to help combat food insecurity, with one organization quoted as saying she donated enough to provide 10,800 meals!? ? Yes, Taylor Swift has a huge platform. But thanks to social media, we all have a platform and the ability to extend our influence. It doesn’t matter how large or small our platform is. What matters is how we put that platform to use. From women’s rights to poverty to animal welfare, when each of us calls attention to the issues we care about, we can bring about a better world.? ?
