Meet Trooper Mike Manke. As a member of DPS’ Commercial Vehicle Enforcement (CVE) Service, Trooper Manke spends his day patrolling Texas roads and inspecting commercial vehicles. While much of the work happens on the road, it doesn’t stop there. CVE Troopers also work to educate drivers and companies on safety practices and regulatory compliance. Education is a key component in helping keep unsafe commercial vehicles from getting on the road in the first place. It all adds up to making the roads safe for all drivers.
