The #30daymapchallenge is back! ?? The goal of this challenge is to to celebrate the creativity and beauty of mapping and cartography by posting maps based on a different theme each day of November. The HeiGIT team is excited to take part in this creative mapping challenge again this year. 1?? Improving cities' #bikeability is about more than creating bike lanes. City planners need to make the whole experience of using a bike for daily errands and commuting as easy, convenient, and enjoyable as possible. Part of that is having a safe place to lock your bike. This map uses #OpenStreetMap data to show the locations and capacity of bike parking locations in #Heidelberg. What happens when we bring together a diverse group of people from the worlds of art, philosophy, innovation, leadership, education, data, entrepreneurship, wellbeing, and healing to explore topics and questions that impact us all? This is what we will be exploring in the coming months through an exciting new initiative & community I’m part of (dreamt up by Sonja Kresojevic) called revillage - born in response to some of the biggest challenges of our time, as a shift of a paradigm, and disruption of the path we are on. (The 'reconnect' and 'reimagine' gatherings we have run are a part of this bigger initiative.) Between April and June, we will be hosting a series of experiential, interdisciplinary learning journeys in the heart of Provence, to test our ideas further. Each of the gatherings will be intimate and jointly co-created by the group, diverse in experience and perspectives, focused on specific questions of inquiry with plenty of space to immerse ourselves in nature, enjoy the silence and company of others, and reconnect with our collective imagination and creativity.
