I had the pleasure of test driving the 2024 Model 3 here in Upland, CA, and it was a delightful surprise. However, what initially caught my attention was the absence of the typical two levers for the signals and shifting the car into drive or reverse. Instead, the signals are now operated using two buttons on the steering wheel, and the controls to set the car in drive or reverse are located on the left margin of the touchscreen. Surprisingly, it only took me 2 minutes of driving to get used to the signal buttons. As for the suspension, I must admit that this is where I noticed the most significant improvement. The ride doesn't feel as stiff, and road bumps are less noticeable. Moreover, you feel much more in control as the car doesn't veer off course due to road irregularities. During my freeway drive, I observed that the noise level is considerably lower than in my 2021 Model 3. The audio system has also received a notable upgrade, meeting even my stringent standards. While I appreciated the addition of the screen for back seat passengers and the mood lighting details in the car, they are features I personally won't make much use of. Overall, I would recommend the new Model 3 to everyone looking for an EV.

Sixty-five years ago, Volvo Group engineer Nils Bohlin invented the three-point safety belt, which has saved millions of lives. Tesla. Does your pioneering team, including Lars Moravy & Franz von Holzhausen think there is a way #Technology can be harnessed to ensure the 5% of drivers who hop in a motor vehicle and choose not to buckle up can be prevented from selecting a forward gear? My friends from Hato Hone St John and NZ Police attend far too many traffic incidents where injuries and or deaths could have been mitigated or prevented had the driver/passenger(s) chosen to wear a seatbelt Perhaps it's time for #Technology at Tesla to make the right choice, 100% of the time. Tesla is a pioneer in the auto industry. Perhaps you will be the first to adapt my safety idea ?? Ad astra Scott.

I always go by what Consumer Reports usually says are the issues. Testing vehicles in the past, they seem to come up with similar conclusions. Any others can easily be bought off. Not sure if Tesla will be able to hold onto the Millineal customer. We thought we were going to get a Hyundai for an LA rental but got the BMW starter car and it was pretty decent. My computer science graduate daughter had to get use to some of the features but did like many of the features on the BMW. It is all about features and targeting the customer in the market you are trying to sell for, mass or luxury.

I showed the 100% Volkswagen supplier assembling part of thr EVs a system I had a Process Engineer put in at Nissan 25 years ago. They loved it, if something that is still being used by Nissan 25 years later, that is all the proof needed. Especially since they had the floor space to make it happen. The idea 25 years ago actually came from a Nissan supervisor, just when an idea is good you have to follow through on it if management will buy into it. This is part of the teamwork process, not my idea, just a cog in the wheel. I'm sure this is still the philosophy at Toyota today. These startups have a long way to go to catch up with the old OEMs in productivity and quality.
