We are pleased to share that One Consulting Group have supported the Facilities Management team at Central Bedfordshire Council to procure a new cleaning contract for routine and reactive cleaning services across their corporate sites. Early market engagement ensured a high level of interested parties submitted bids at SQ stage allowing for a good selection of quality bidders to be taken through to ITT. Through working closely with the client, Gavin Coombs CBIFM and Ben Pollard, OCG achieved outcomes including a refreshed look at how the Corporate Estate was viewed from a cleaning perspective, improving baseline data and production of a robust set of KPI’s to aid efficient contract management.? #facilitiesmanagement #cleaningservices #procurement #projectsinpartnership #projectmanagement

I Spent a good chunk of the weekend reading through all the news and posts about ISG going into administration. It’s a big reality check for the industry and a reminder of how critical it is to focus on quality decision-making over simply chasing contracts for the sake of appearances. Winning contracts is great, but if the margins aren't there or the projects aren’t sustainable, it’s only a matter of time before it catches up. We’ve all got to keep our heads clear and ensure that the deals we pursue make business sense, not just for the short term but for the long run. We’re fortunate to have a few clients who provide us with regular projects. Our focus is on delivering services that are affordable, safe, and of the highest quality. However, we are always transparent with our clients about the importance of meeting necessary margins, and we’re upfront if a project doesn’t align with those expectations.
